Question about LV Bags and sun milks / sprays

Yes me too but I'm just curious. The more I think on it the more I say leave well enough ALONE! LOL. With untreated leather you risk the leather getting darker. I did find this on Amazon, it mentions it can be used on leather in the header but it's not mentioned anywhere else that I can see. I've see product sprays for automotive care that have UV protection in them. This is what I found on Amazon. If I end up buying it for spraying items outside to prevent fading and cracking I'll try it on my nano speedy strap that I cut off from my nano speedy as its not being used (it's from the older version with the undetachable strap so there are no attachments or clips on it) and see what it does. I let you all know. Lol

I just feel like every time I try to clean or fix something, I end up wrecking it. So leaving well enough alone is what I now go with. I tried to clean vachetta handles and ended up having to have them replaced because I made them worse.

Oh no! So sorry! Yes I better leave it alone. It won't be an everyday bag for me so it will be well preserved for some time. I must be bored, that's all. Hahaha!

Be careful, but I've heard these work but I haven't had to try yet. I would press and dab though vs rub. With the magic eraser rub lightly and keep checking to make sure all is ok. Check as you go with any you try. Hopefully one of these 3 will work. PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Rubbing Alcohol
WD-40
Magic Eraser

Thanks for your reply Debbie65. I tried alcohol and pencil eraser but didn’t do anything. Wd-40 sounds powerful. I’m not sure what it is but will google it.
Maybe I will bring it to the closest LV store…
Thanks again.

I have a toddler though…
Come on, this changes everything! I'd leave it like that, this is the cutest thing

Years ago a Lady on the forum asked us about her Neverfull. It was in excellent condition, but her toddler did draw on the handles with a blue pen. She wanted to get the handles replaced by Vuitton.
I told her that this is actually amazing and I would wear it proudly. The kids grow so fast, and the bag will quickly become a memento of those wonderful first years together. Also that is the first art piece by her child, if Kusama can draw on Vuitton, so can the kids. And if you think about it, this is the ultimate Mom flex when you don't take your Vuitton too seriously and let your kids play with them.

Be careful! WD-40 is a lubricant. It's very greasy and is used for loosening rusted bolts, squeaky hinges, things like that. It is suppose to break up the ink so you can wipe and lift off the ink but I never tried this. Because your leather on your wallet is coated and i don't believe your leather porous so that may work in your favor but BE CAREFUL! You know before you try, let me try it on a piece of scrap vachetta leather. Vachetta is porous as it is raw so the result won't be the same as your leather but let me test it out. Im sure the vachetta will drink up the grease and possibly the ink too but let me test it on my scrap vachetta first.
Now you have me curious! Hahaha! I'll try it first. I don't want you to mess up your wallet! I'll take pics and show you sometime today! :)

Well...I tried it with the WD-40....and nope! Lol. Vachetta is probably not the best leather to use, but that's the only scrap leather I had. The WD just soaked in quick into the vachetta. The ink did not lift from the vachetta. The vachetta became darker due to the WD-40 obviously. Anyway, now we know...well, now we know FOR SURE, at least on vachetta! Lol
