Question about carrying wristlets/wallets instead of bags

I am exactly the same. I have tried wristlets a couple times but never end up using them, just not practical for me either even though I don't carry a lot

I also tried to use a wristlet in my bag for the small things like Advil and tissues, but it annoyed me to have to open my bag and then take out a wristlet and open that in order to get these items out - I like just keeping them in the slip pockets.

I just like to carry a purse I guess.

Sometimes I carry a bag and sometimes I carry a wristlet. I work in an office but don't need to carry a lot to and from work. I am waiting on a green Collete wristlet that I got during PCE (per Fedex site it should be here today...YAY!) and I also have several other wristlets. I just need my mini skinny (for my debit card, drivers license and cash), my cell phone, car keys, tiny hand lotion and lip gloss. I do need a full sized bag on the weekend, unless DH and I are going out to dinner alone because I carry my 2yr old's diapers/wipes/snacks in my purse. I probably wear my wristlets almost as often as my purses, but I never use them inside my larger purses. When I carry a wristlet it is functioning as a purse.

I love large wristlets and wristlet/clutches. I have a large brown and raisin kristin wristlet that holds alot. When I step out to lunch or a lunch shopping trip when at work i never take my bag only my wristlet. I have a recently got a large parker capacity wristlet of ebay and holds alot, use it for gym and weekend shopping trips. I have a bleeker wristlet clutch that has credit card slots and a zippered compartment. I also have a few more wristlet clutches. I use my large wristlets and wristlet clutches as wallets with mini skinnys in them. I have a dell streak 5 phone, love it but it is huge. It will fit in my large wristlets which is great. I'm going to start just using a wristlet on fridays at work instead of a bag. I also have a coach work tote that I carry everyday to work. I think for your purposes a capacity wristlet would work out great for you. They also have the hand sanitizers that fit on you keychain. Your boyfriend could use one of those nylon nike/addias/puma drawstring style backpacks to carry his things. It's light weight and easy to clean.

If you have a walmart nearby, I have found individual wrapped antibacterial hand wipes by Wet Ones. There called pocket size singles. I think 20 come in a box for about 3 bucks and they are all I carry in my bags and wristlets. There slim so they fit in a wristlet and they don't leak in my bag like I have had hand sanitizers do!

I have a little spray hand sanatizer, I have seen similar ones at Walmart, CVS, ect. little longer than a lipgloss tube, fits great in my larger wristlets or poppy zip wallets I use when I dont want to carry my bag, I have a couple of poppy groovys to wear crossbody , so i am handsfree for shopping.

I wanted to add too that I do work in a pizza joint. I don't carry my good bags in there. Sometimes if I buy a new one I will take it in and show the one server but other then that I don't carry them. I either carry a MFF tote that has been better days (she needs a cleaning..but is probably my favorite bag) and a Dooney because if something spills it'll be easy to clean.

Does anyone here mostly carry wristlets instead of bags?

I love wristlets but I do need a little more, I carry a book always. LoL also wanted to ask you, your want Fob, do you have a bigger picture? and or a link to see it? it looks amazing!

In the summer when it's hot and I don't feel like schlepping my bag around I will use a wristlet and also when my hubby takes me on a date. I love my leather Bonnie wristlet which is more like a clutch in size. They're so handy when you don't want to carry too much, and when I don't feel like carrying anything at all, I thread the wristlet strap into my belt loop on the side. Well maybe it sounds funny but I wear it well lol.

I work from home -- if I had to work outside my home I'd never just carry a wristlet because they are easy to snatch. Had enough stuff snatched from me so the bigger the bag the better!

A lot of ladies where I work carry just essentials in a Coach wristlet or LV pochette and take it to lunch and leave their big bag in their desk - but I've never seen anyone use a wristlet and nothing else.

I have one (not sure of the style name but it was MFF, it's violet leather with a striped lining and a zippered pocket on the front and the Coach plate is silver script) and I think I've used it three times in the past year for parties but it doesn't work for me for daytime because I need too much stuff.

Last spring/summer, I did "wristlet challenges" where I would force myself to use just a wristlet for a week or more at a time. I really enjoyed it! For awhile I used one for over a month and when I switched back to a normal purse it took me a long time to get used to it. I'm thinking of using a wristlet this weekend, I am so sick of lugging my bag around right now.
