I love the little jade pendant you found clairejune!

When we went to the mall yesterday, I noticed one of the 2 upstairs jewelry stores had closed. Around Xmas/New Years they were having stock clearance sales, but i thought it was to make room for new stuff. That store had been there for as long as I can remember....makes me wish I had taken a closer look at their jade before they left.

So tired, wish I didn't have to work tomorrow.

OK ladies, here is the little gourd pendant I got for my daughter. Sorry about the bad pictures. She was wearing it and it's night time here, so not the best lighting. It's about 2cm long and is very translucent, jelly yellow green. It has a little carved leaf that folds over the gourd on the front and back. Can you believe I found it in a little mom and pop mineral store here?

Thanks for the compliment on my daughter's pendant. This mineral store has a bunch of old stock jadeite pendants and cabochons at old stock prices. They don't sell very fast here. Unbelievably cheap, untreated and pretty. Had a strong lavender cabochon, fine, even grain for $50, along with all kinds of other slices of green and white jade. You know the kind often used for earrings?

It's raining here and my sinuses are killing me. Weird weather... raining on the lee side and sunny on the windward side.

Has anyone ever popped into Tiffany and looked at their jade? I'm kind of drawn to the cabochons. Does anyone know if it is jadeite or nephrite? I should pop in and ask my SA one of these days.
