Yes that's exactly how I feel about verso!!!

And I realized I forgot to say thank you for another fabulous piece & so happy you are writing about H on PB (I feel like I may be repeating myself on this every time I come across your thread on the articles, but still that's not enough times).

And to see the whole list of what didn't make it - in awe of how thorough you are!! Totally gave me more ideas on gifts...to others and to myself ;)

Finally I remember once I saw some comments on a prior article (I don't even remember which one) where the commenter IMO was not very friendly but you responded in such a nice manner. Sorry I'm off topic here but again just thank you for doing all this! Awesome work!! :hbeat:

Hey, I love receiving compliments! I makes me so happy to hear when people enjoy my articles....at home I try to be funny and interesting, and mostly I just get crickets.

As far as dealing with others online, I really try my best to be an ambassador for TPF and keep everything positive. If I just try to address negative comments with understanding and positivity, people will at least feel heard.

Slightly off topic- would you pick Calvi or Bastia if only able to choose one?

Thats a great question, and a tough one! Probably the Calvi, because it's easier to just slip into your pocket and go. Also, it's slightly larger so you could put some of the messier knick-knacks in there, but it's much harder to fit cash or cards in a Bastia.

Very interesting article. @Notorious Pink Is it customary to buy such expensive gifts for Christmas?
In the UK we mostly buy gifts for children, ( at least in my family) I can’t imagine spending that much on adults. We do send food hampers, which are comparatively expensive, but h doesn’t do anything edible.

Some people do. It’s not unusual here in NY, Don’t forget Chanukah too (which may have had an influence on that - after all, as kids we start out with eight presents and then as you get older they sort of get consolidated to one or two substantial things ).

If you want to see outrageous, the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book always has a bunch of really extravagant offerings.

Not surprisingly, the answer varies. For some families, yes. For some, no. It depends what you can also afford. In my family Christmas is a big deal and we spend a lot at Christmas and exchange expensive gifts. I am not terribly concerned whether this is right or wrong or what people think about this. Having a gift guide like the one mentioned here is therefore quite useful as there is something at many price points.

Great article, @Notorious Pink ! I've been eying the Bastia as a little birthday/Hannukah present to myself. I don't need it to hold other bits & pieces… just loose coins for the few times I pay cash. But there isn't an H boutique anywhere near me, so I'd have to buy it online.

I'd like your opinion, since I believe you said you have one. Is it easy to pop the snap open & closed? And is it easy to fish the coins out, once it's opened?

Elsewhere on tPF I beleive it's been said that the 24 change purse works better as a dedicated coin purse, but I can't justify the extra $200-ish dollars. So it's either the Bastia or nothing.

Thoughts?

I love the Bastia. It’s great for change and for headphones. It’s well designed and a pleasure to use. It’s one of my favourite H items.

I find it easy to use. I’ve never had a problem opening or closing it, and the snap has been fine. It’s not terribly deep, so I also find that it’s easier to find the coins in t than in, say, the coin section of a wallet,

Thank you, @CMilly and @Notorious Pink . I just may indulge myself.
At the moment, there's only one Verso on the H site, and I'm not in love with the combo. It's okay, but it's not knocking my socks off. But I'm guessing that new options come up every now & then, and if I wait a while something might come along with (f'rinstance) a pop of red inside? :graucho:

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!!!

The H Bag Charm has been spotted online several times. I'd say most of the items in the article are easily available online, the rodeos and bag charms not quite so easily, but not impossible, although they sell very quickly. If you have an SA that you can contact, ask her/him to call you when they arrive, as the boutiques have been getting them, too.
Thank you so much, good advice.
