Hi!

You set out some truly incredible gift options!

I'd like to comment on two:

Refillable leather case for fragrances: Don't be afraid to chose this gift for the man in your life or male friends in general. I absolutely love them, they are high quality = no mess in bag or toiletry pouch, many leather options available, totally underestimated and such a treat when you like to re-fresh you perfume during the day. I started with one, now I have two. I use them like true EDC pieces and of course when traveling. Swift leather has an incredible soft touch to it, epsom is more rugged. Guys who like fragrances and the finer things in life will love it!

Cufflinks: Yes a very traditional gift. Be sure to check out all the different options the boutique/website has available when buying. So many great pieces, and some of them being less articulate about being "Hermès" - which some men might prefer. ;) (Parallels or H au Carré come to mind. )

As usual, a great written article, enjoyed reading it!

Kind regards,
Oliver

Thank you so much for including your experience, Oliver!
I really did my best to include as many options for as many different tastes as possible, and I'm glad that these resonated with you. I always loved the refills because just the experience of opening and using that leather holder is so aesthetically pleasing. The cufflinks do come in a nice assortment of options, I went with the most typical but there are so many others.

I love how you categorized them in different price brackets. What a thorough guide for gift giving! Well done my dear!

Thank you! Sometimes I'm just looking to get something in a specific price range. This makes that job easier.

I actually went through the website section by section and sorted by price, then wrote each item under the price heading. When I had done that for each category, i had a list of items from nearly every category in every price heading (except $100 and under). Then I selected a few from each price heading to recommend. The rest are listed just above.

Another good point for this is to help those who may find themselves needing to make purchases across a variety of categories, if you know what I mean... ;)

Firstly, I'm here to celebrate your love for verso based on what I read - I am a huuuuge sucker for verso / contrast lining

I've bought mainly lotions / creams / shower gels etc. from H this holiday season as gifts. They have been my fallback choices for when I procrastinate / can't think of anything else for friends / colleagues / people I'm close with but not that close with, if you know what I mean! I prefer these over fragrances because I find that perfume taste can be extremely personal, so lotions, while also fragrant, is the safer option. When I do pick perfume, I just go with the prettiest-looking bottle :P (of course when I do know their personal taste I can pick based on the smell, and in the case of DH I just pick what *I* like to smell )

I recently read an article with advices for finding good gifts (must be the season!). Among many good points it said that it's often better to give a more generally desirable gift that everyone can use, instead of trying to come up with something "unique" and overthink it. Also always try to think beyond the moment of the recipient opening the gift, which is often the moment the giver may falsely focus on (as that's when they get their gratification). But for the recipient the more important part is often the future after that, i.e. how am I going to use this?

Besides this holiday season, this year I've also given leather jewelry (bracelet) & tie (due to specific print that is personally meaningful) from H as gifts to others. Lastly a special thanks for the O'Kelly pendant because I got it for myself this year, so it made me think "hmm I must be still quite young at heart" based on the comment for your son ;)

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!!!

The H Bag Charm has been spotted online several times. I'd say most of the items in the article are easily available online, the rodeos and bag charms not quite so easily, but not impossible, although they sell very quickly. If you have an SA that you can contact, ask her/him to call you when they arrive, as the boutiques have been getting them, too.

Thanks so much for your great advice!!!

Yes that's exactly how I feel about verso!!! <3

And I realized I forgot to say thank you for another fabulous piece & so happy you are writing about H on PB (I feel like I may be repeating myself on this every time I come across your thread on the articles, but still that's not enough times).

And to see the whole list of what didn't make it - in awe of how thorough you are!! Totally gave me more ideas on gifts...to others and to myself ;)

Finally I remember once I saw some comments on a prior article (I don't even remember which one) where the commenter IMO was not very friendly but you responded in such a nice manner. Sorry I'm off topic here but again just thank you for doing all this! Awesome work!! :hbeat:
