People can be so not accepting, even for a purse hook

:roflmfao:

You know it, girl. It's because adult humans automatically don't trust anything that is not familiar to them. Not even the lowly purse 'hook'. Or hanger.

We'd have made a heck of a wild animal.

ETA: But then I think of all those millions of 'adult humans' who have fallen for those 'Nigerian money scams' and I have to rethink everything again...

I don't know why but I think purse hooks are weird
I have been given several as gifts because I won't put my purse on the floor
I would prefer to hold it on my lap rather than put it on the floor or use the purse hook
I don't know why I don't like
it just doesn't seem right
like someone could just come along and snatch my purse off the hook
I don't know

I can't imagine using one in church or in a job interview or customer meeting. If there are no extra chairs scooched under a work table, you may be expected to put your bag on the floor next to you.

What about at the hair stylist? How do you keep your bag close by?

I would use mine at a restaurant or in a public restroom.

Now I'm a little concerned about purchasing a premiere designer bag.

I think we need to change the culture. Purse hooks for all! Purse hooks everywhere!

I find my clipa very useful in Church. If it is crowded and there are a lot of people jammed into the pew, I just hang my bag on the back of the pew in front of me. It works great!

The clipa is great...Its most useful for the bathroom situation, just hang your bag on the clipa over the door and no worry about stalls with no hooks, which always happends to me. You can use the clipa on tables too if you need to, I havnt needed to yet but I supose I would if I were in a crowded restaurant and I needed a spot for my bag. The floors under tables are always so gross, and I would rather get a weird look then let people step on my $1,000 bag (or even $100 bag !!).

I first considered the idea of purse hooks when I got fed up with some of the public rest rooms not having a hook for my bag. Can the hooks turn outwards? ie. the round platey thing and the hook facing the opposite side so they can be used on doors?

All the ones I saw only allowed for table use, though I never considered doing that in a restaurant! I might just get one after all.

I personally hate placing expensive bags on the floor, even if they have protective base studs.

The Clipa is hands-down the best purse hook ever. I now own three (polished silver, brushed gold, polished gold). It started with one...and then just grew from there. The Clipa works great on those days when the bathroom door has no hook (which is all the time in freaking LA Fitness!); it holds my gym bag (not a duffle) with no issue.

I've yet to encounter a situation where the Clipa doesn't work!

bexy, that's a good question - what's the hardware color on most of your bags? If that doesn't help, then what color are most of your bags?

I ended up getting one in gold and one in silver ... and then went to a bag with no hardware - so it doesn't matter now, for me. I keep the silver one at home and the gold on in my bag to use when I'm out.

I use them a lot- especially when you are in a restaurant and the chair does not allow your bag to hang properly, or there is not enough room for anyone to get by with my giant bag hanging on the back of my chair- they come in very handy! I have one in gold and silver.
