Purchased bag from Harrods, But the security tag is still on

Here is a photo. I took the tag off the bag and put it in water, but now 3 hours later, it still won't stop beeping. Suggestions?

its just a screamer, just cut it with a wire cutter, those dont have ink in them.

It's still in water

It's in my laundry room and you can't hear it when the door is closed.

I had to go to the vet and then today I had to go to work. Didn't really want to carry a beeping device on a train. KWIM?

The beeping has gone down A LOT. I think the battery is dying. It just makes me laugh now, everytime I walk by it.

Happened to my Givenchy wallet too.
I used a pair of pliers to take it out.

This happened to me with a bag I bought and had shipped from Bergdorf Goodman. It was the black box/wire cable kind of tag, and I was able to get it off with a small set of wire cutters, then threw the tag in a dumpster. So frustrating! But luckily no ink and no other damage to the bag.
