process of authenticating in LV boutique

When I asked on of the SAs in my boutique she said the only training they get is on the register, the rest they have to learn on their own. She said when you get promoted to Asst mgr you go for training then. Most of the time I know about products b4 the other SAs do. She is obsessed with LV so like us she scours the net looking for news. :D and new products. She always knows!

I would say something in the lines of "I received this as a gift and wonder if it's authentic".... I know my LV boutique would frown on people who claim they bought their LV on Ebay. I witnessed a few who received snobbish remarks from a couple of SAs, as a result.

i went in, told them i needed their help, i have been searching for a red epi jasmin with the gold hardware, which i know has been discontinued. my mom found one and bought this from a lady at work and i wanted to make sure she didn't get ripped off an i won't be carrying a fake. im worried because the two leather are differnt. she looked at it, said hold on, took it to the manager and came back and said "it's real! it's the old red and the wallet is the new red."

yay!!!!! they weren't super friendly or nice, but were not snobby or condescending either, so i was relieved! thanks for all the tips!

Yall should def get the manager to authenticate stuff, not the SAs. The managers usually have some training and more experience.

I am wondering the same thing VuittonGirl. One of my mom's friends bought a fake from chinatown and was convinced that it looked real. She took it into LV and they authenticated it for her (or so she says). Now she has my mom convinced that there are some real ones mixed in with the bunch in places like chinatown and as much as I try telling my mom they are ALL fake, she still believes her friend. Is it possible that a SA made a mistake ?
