Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

YES! I remember discussing tPF! Nice to See you here. That was at least 7-8? years ago?

Seriously linen is challenging on everyone. And I'm definitely hiding my backside right now since it's all stretched out (the wrinkled pants, not my backside).

In her case though, there are so many unfortunately choices she's made for her body type, it's not like avoiding the issues is easy.
Probably shouldn't have but I let out a huge guffaw!!

I didn't know the surrogate's voice sounded like that! :P
Good point! And since they tend to get different kids every time they rent a kid for a photo op, the kid would have a different voice every time. That reminds me, TW is probably already frantically browsing through Rent-A-Kid's catalogue to find a suitable Archie for the birthday pics. Will be interesting to see if they ran out of all the tanned ginger-haired boys of suitable age and she needs to do a hasty dye job at home...

I can’t tell, but wouldn’t it be funny to post it on the authenticate LV thread?
It's probably real. The Speedy was an entry level LV bag for many young women back then because it was relatively affordable. I wouldn't be surprised if she pestered her father to buy her one. I remember seeing them everywhere when my daughter started college in LA around that time. I think they were about $500 circa 2005.

I’m guessing I’m in the minority that I love linen and think the creases are just it’s unique quality but I WILL say

If you are short, boxy and orangey don’t wear a short, boxy and orangey outfit :graucho:

A simple tailored linen dress in a nicer pink would have been fine. Barbie herself doesn’t wear prawn Marie Rose pink. (Credit to papertiger for the shrimp joke)

Also I have never liked staud & now it is added to the list of brands with ugly names further damned by association :graucho:
(I’m looking at you Kaite or however you spell that BS )
I was thinking--I think TW took a page from the late () QEII with the shorts-set color--no one else would wear something like that to a Lakers (or any team) basketball game, she did this to stand out, and she did. (QEII always wore bright colors so her subjects could see her easily.) We know by now TW doesn't care if the clothing fits or whatever, it's being NOTICED and PHOTO'D that counts.

(and please no snarky comments about me thinking :graucho:)

I think my favorite wrinkled look is #1 on the bottom row, the gigantic sized 80's floral tablecloth with the messy bun and pile of ribbons on top of her head. No idea how she could look in a mirror and think that was a good look.

That must have been another one of her "One of these things is not like the others" moments. I bet every single one of the other guests had combed their hair that day.
