I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Reddit is saying today The Telegraph changed it original story. What is going on? Idk.

Yesterday’s story included this line:
One royal source suggested that while the exchange was warm in tone, it had not eased the tension between the two sides.

today’s story changed the line above to:
However, it is understood that she does still consider the comment to be racist.

Someone got cold feet.

I think they are going to use married in members of extended family to issue the comments of reason. Mike Tindall and Camilla's son are perfect. Meghan has had no dealings with these people really, so it would be interesting to see if she claps back at them.

BTW, did anyone notice how Camilla scooted off after Easter services? They said she was going to a private engagement. I translate that to her spending Easter with her children and grandkids. The Wales and KC were locked into something at the home of the Head of St George's.

Yes, I did notice. Certainly possible that indeed she was going to her grandkids’ party, not sure why they couldn’t attend this service, but ok.

My thought was she did not want to walk up the hill. She does have osteoporosis or osteoarthritis, so that walk may have been a bit ambitious. The Roller did pick her up.

…. Look at the paragraph above where she said it wasn’’t intended to accuse a person of being racist. She can’t decide if it’s racist or unconscious bias.

Her PR needs a clear strategy and shows its still amateur hour when she is in control. She leaks the letter to the Telegraph. Gets the backlash and eye rolling from everywhere.

Then leaks to page six that “she has moved on.”

She moved on in 24 hours? because the response to the Telegraph was not in her favour… again.

MM needs to stop striking back at every perceived slight. It just shows how immature she is.

What stunt do we expect for the coronation day? I say she will

1. leak the name of the racist (which the Telegraph would know if they have a copy of her letter; or
2. leak a photo of her two kids or the birthday party; or
3. pap walk; or
4. divorce / separation announcement

These are on my bingo card… Any other suggestions?

Sounds like she is conflating two separate conversations. the reason that the kids were not given titles was not race but rather their status as great grand children. she is still upset they aren’t being treated like the Waleses. Bc H is no longer the Spare, and they are further in the LoS. Not sure why she cannot understand this, but I certainly also have family members who cannot understand reality. I’m sure that we all do lol.

And lest we forget the chronology
1. OW prime time interview had the clear insinuation of racism over baby skin
2. In an OUTTAKE from interview, aired the next morning BUT no one saw it at the time, H says there was no racism
OW edited her interview so as to let stand the claim of racism, without the retraction, OW is as complicit in this mess as anyone
and what 2-3 years later, the leaks are still about the non-racism racism ???? Someone just cant let go …

The funny thing is, earlier in that conversation with Oprah, she specifically said she knew Archie would have the title of Prince once Charles became King. She had to know it would only be a matter of 3-4 years until that happened - the Queen was 93 when Archie was born. Yet she just kept going round and round about Archie receiving “security”. Like, security for/from what? I don’t get it. Archie was six months old when they defected under the cover of night to Vancouver Island. What kind of security does a six, twelve, or twenty-four month for that matter require? Seriously, William and Catherine take their children to public parks.

I think it is safe to say that she didn't invite anyone who couldn't do something for her. Plus her relatives of any color did not have enough "class" for her. Her father didn't look like he came out of the movie Father of the Bride as well. Doing the right thing was never in her vocabulary of human interactions.
