I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

The PoW (even as the 'keeper' of Duchy) does not and should not have to "bankroll" a grown-up (in his thirties) son's wife. He obviously has a commitment to his own wife (IMO - even though DH doesn't pay anything towards my anything once bills are all split 50/50).

It really does look like those awful dog choke collars. Dogs would have the same reaction. Open the mouth and go backwards a bit, which is what the chicken, sorry dove, looks like it's doing. :P
Maybe that was her way of showing she felt "suffocated" by the BRF.

Haz knows better about much of this stuff, but he's allowed TW to get her way multiple times. It wouldn't surprise me if the demand was made, however ludicrous. Singing Happy Birthday to a 4 year old, LOL. It's not even some momentous birthday. Hopefully there's a Burger King nearby, with their paper crowns that the whole Haz family can wear and pretend that they're real. If I recall correctly, my brother had his 3rd birthday party at Burger King and had a ball tearing up that little crown.

If true about the Happy Birthday song at the coronation, it is enough reason to believe that Harry was playing a joke and never expected to attend. I think some staffer was tasked with coming up with ridiculous requests so they could be used as reasons for non attendance. It’s all too stupid for words.

I say the same people who backed Halifax and Neville Chamberlain during the war. Thus Harry wearing the Nazi suit and the supporters of the abdicated king and Wallis Simpson.

So King Charles, do what the Queen has always done. Please mobilize the English language and send it into battle (quote from NC) and stop these two before they leave you stranded at Calais and Dunkirk.

The seamen who rescued lads at Dunkirk are your people now. You are head of the monarchy and you must put their concerns over any brats. You don’t save 4000 to have 300,000 killed.

They knew the risks and were men of valor.
