I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I have no idea. Do famous people just spontaneously open their homes and invite other famous people to stay with them? Harry made it out like Courtney was away from home when he first got there and it doesn’t sound like they knew each other well, if at all. Who does that?

Does anyone find themselves spending a lot of time you are reading Twitter blocking other people? I just can't go past lying, false, disgusting posts about H&M without blocking the poster. Makes it hard to go quickly through Twitter lol.

You are on to something. In the UK, people are honored to have the royals stay with them. Downton Abbey explained the issues and the honor. In the US, most of us see them as freeloaders and try to avoid them. Who wants a houseguest who just takes, never pays or gives in return? Neither one of them has such a sparking personality that charms the host. Even our politicians know there is always a quid pro quo.

Isn't there an ongoing issue with an unpleasant odor in the vicinity of the house? I recall reading some blather by MM about seeing the listing for the house and dreaming of being able to buy it. Sounds like they made the classic first time buyer mistake of buying with your heart not your head and are now stuck with a white elephant they can't afford. And didn't they buy it at a very steep discount from the original listing price? Can't wait for the sheriff's sale. Or maybe Ellen and Portia could bail them out and then flip it.

There was a story about skeletons emerging from the ground in their vicinity too. Not a murder victim, think it was a burial ground.

Could be. Besides Tyler Perry and Courtney, who knows how many other celebs these two deadbeats have imposed upon to save themselves a hotel bill. As I recall when they were in New York City for their visit to the UN they stayed in someone’s condo.

Courtney shows a lot of class for not being furious about being an anecdote in his book. She didn’t want to be outed for using psychedelic mushrooms. It’s bad enough that he ate them all, a decent houseguest doesn’t spill the tea about his host’s personal business after she is nice enough to open her home to him.

It’s the same with the woman in the losing his virginity story. Only Harry and Meghan‘s privacy matters.

Confession: I never watched Friends. I only remember Courtney Cox from the Springsteen music video and a very old TV series called Misfits of Science. I also hate it when visitors think they have the right to rummage in my fridge. I yelled at my 5YO grand-nephew recently for that because he is the kind who will help himself to anything and everything, take one bite out of whatever he takes from the fridge, then abandon the rest. Rinse and repeat.
