I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I really don't think so. They had staff to do that. Ghoul refused to do even one thing they advised.

Also once she caught him, Meghan quickly became the dominant member of the couple. I imagine they reached a point where Harry would tell her the proper protocol and she would tell him what she would or wouldn’t do. Not sure when the scale of power tipped to her calling the shots but it was pretty early on.

I don't know them but IMO she if probably crafty and manipulative and he is a large boy - easy to boss around

She figured out how to make him dependent on her quickly. He already thought he was more important than he was and she could play on that, focusing on any perceived slight or case where William was favored. Isolating him from the rest of his family and friends and then building up an “us against them” scenario clinched it.

I absolutely believe she had delusions of grandeur and ulterior motives, but I also think that *maybe* Harry bought into her scheme because (a) he's not very bright, and (b) he really did want to leave the BRF and live a quiet life.

We have no way of knowing what lies she told to get him to where he is now, but I was just reading a story about cults, and how the leader can manipulate you into doing things you would never dream of doing because most of them are grandiose narcissists.

This thread would not have become almost 9000 pages long if they had quietly left the BRF and lived a quiet life of luxury. What she most likely sold the dimwit prince was a story of a great life away from criticism and constant invasion of privacy in Canada. We all knew that was never going to be good enough for her because the only place that mattered to her was Hollywood.

Do you think that when Hazz sat there on the Nutflix mocumentary and said they *had* to run to California because the press found them and they weren't safe that maybe he actually believed that since he has been browbeaten and brainwashed into believing it?

Same thing applies to the book. We all know by now that the story was fed to the ghostwriter and proofread word by word by TW. I have no sympathy for Hazz since he was warned many times to slow down, but he was h*ll bent on rushing to the alter out of jealousy of William and the family that he had.

In addition, I think Southpark were very perceptive when they called H&M Prince and Princess of Canada because I totally think they thought they were going to be in their half-in/half-out plan.

I think they planned a tripple-domiciled life together.

Two paid for by the GB public and one in Follywood:

1. Set-up a hip palace in Canada, lording over the natives as figureheads of the Commonwealth, BRF reps for the late Queen. Mixing with her old set in Toronto, but this time they could bow, curtsey and scrape to her.
2. Keep Frog Cott for when they need a pad to hob-nob with (only the best and most important) VVIPs and hog Buck Pal balcony
3. Set up an amaze-mansion for R&R (tough life) and when they needed to attend AAA-list events

She reportedly gave him an ultimatum that if he didn't publicly acknowledge their relationship she'd leave him and he panicked that he'd lose her. If that isn't manipulative I don't know what is.

If they'd both played the game, kept quiet, worked a few days a week shaking hands, and made a nice life for themselves as popular members of the BRF, they could have had millions in the bank untouched and had the billionaire lifestyle (she so aspired to) all paid for by the tax payers, literally being treated like royalty.

They both gave away a lifetime of wearing priceless diamonds for the promise of owning their own glass replicas.

Everyone says that we shouldn't underestimate her, 'shrewd cookie' 'clever with assets' etc. Hers are hustler moves she sold H on. She's an operator and not wise, she literally cut off her nose to spite her face because she's only interested in wealth for it's own sake and not what it can bring - if anyone is very, very lucky.

She was never going to be satisfied because she wanted to be able to do whatever she pleased. She hated being assigned events. She hated all the stodgy rules. She thought she would just show up and be fabulous!

Meghan may have understood she would always be second fiddle to the Queen, but I don’t think she considered how far down the ladder of importance she actually was. Her resentment grew quickly and unchecked. She made sure Harry felt it too.

Even for a seasoned bit-actor/girl around town that grew-up in that BS world, she should know that events are much more exciting as a bystander, usually awards ceremonies and after-show parties are so so so so boring. BRF or Follywood A-list, it's seriously pressured being either and a seriously boring life beyond the edited highlights.

I think the greater issue for her was the prospect of the Sussexes forever having to play second fiddle to the Wales, particularly Catherine. The "Fab Four" was always a figment of the media's imagination.
