I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I don't disagree, but to most Brits WS was a disreputable woman whom they didn't want as their queen. Divorce was still scandalous to many people and the term skank hadn't been coined yet. WS was sophisticated trashy. MM is just trashy.

And as others have mentioned before, it's protected by the US Constitution. Don't like it? Then move back to... I was going to say Britain but that would be a terrible thing to do to that country after all they've already been through.

South Park likely makes fun of a lot of politicians (haven't watched much SP, but my sis is a huge fan). So if Zed can't take the heat now, I have no doubt that she will absolutely wilt if she ventures into politics.
"Vote for Me! I'm a Victim too!" is not going to be a popular rallying cry.

So Harry tried to tell the writers of SP that they got things wrong and that they didn't want privacy? How about being called a victim? Did they get that wrong too?

I think his legal team will advise him not to pursue this. Not only would they have to prove that the SP team was being malicious and defamatory, they would be opening up several cans of worms for inspection. I'd definitely watch an investigative docu on "Meghan: Before Harry" that fact-checks her embroidered fantasy youth manufactured to elevate her status.

This of course wouldn't stop Sparry from going on talk shows to complain about how his "Instagram-loving b**** wife" collapsed on the floor/stairs/sofa in a flood of tears. Some UK media asked if SP went too far in their insults. I say, if the hat fits ...

That's what I thought too. The attention to all the little details suggests the SP staff either did intensive research on them, or they went into it already hating them and with a stockpile of ammunition. OK, which one of you writes for SP?

I'd guess that someone was following them for a while. There were too many details that were put in there that even a recent deep dive would not have shown.

Like someone already suggested, I think they are among us - come out, SP! Make yourself known - you are our heroes!

It’s a stretch for that writer to say that their decisions had anything to do with Harry and Meghan. Sheeran will be in the middle of a US concert tour at that time and Adele… Adele just may not feel like it. She only does what she wants to do. Sounds like there will be plenty of other artists who want to perform.
