Heard about this years ago when they said Edward was made a Trustee of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award or something like that. It was said Philip wanted Edward to be the next duke.

Maybe Charles is waiting until Christmas before more titles. Just so that he doesn't seem too eager to hand them out.
