I'm hearing from my SA's it's around 10%-15%!![]()
My SA just emailed me that there will be a price increase as of January 13th. Don't know if this date just applies to just the USA or is worldwide. Also, she didn't mention the amount of the price increase, just the effective date.
Does it mean it is for sure will increase on 16th or 02nd Jan? Any intel? My SA emailed me again stating that the price increase will be approximately 6% applied to all merchandise.
Ladies, if you really want an H item, the time to get it is now!
Also, I am in the USA, so I don't know if this is worldwide.

In the USA, the 6% price increase is January 13th. That's directly from my SA.
Thanks, VigeeLeBrun!!Hopefully new items will arrive before the increase.

My store put Spring scarves out on sale earlier this year on January 2ndNew items before the price increase? That would be too good to be true!
No, dear, I'm not lucky. I stalk the market every day, patiently, until what I look for show up.Ugh, I'm with you on dreading the burn of GM increases.
Although I do still buy H new from the boutique year after year, I spend less and less there each year with these price increases, even though my income has risen since I first discovered H. It was just so much easier for me to justify spending $$ there when I could get quite a number of beautiful pieces-- now that I can only get a few pieces for the same money, I'm vastly more inclined to get my jollies with vintage pieces. But I realize I'm not exactly H's target customer-- I'm not even a drop in their revenue bucket-- more like a molecule in a drop in the bucket-- and I have no doubt they'll eventually price me out of the boutiques completely. Good thing I have good luck hunting older pieces-- although maybe not as much luck as you, Chestnutty!![]()
