Absolutely agreed - you're paying for the prestige of owning something with David Yurman's name on it. Here's some other fun facts while we're on this subject:

Glasses. The glasses you see at places like Lenscrafters and Pearl Vision: most of them are all manufactured by one company. See those cheap $20 sunglasses at department stores? Yeah, most of them are made by the same "one company" that's located in this tiny, tiny city in Italy. Now, see those AMAZING sunglasses with the Beyonce logo on them that you can get for $500? No difference whatsoever in terms of materials and quality of the $20 pair except it has a name brand on it.

I agree that some of the silver pieces are overpriced, but I've only bought gold pieces from the collection and I feel I paid a fair price. Here is my latest prize. It's the oval large link necklace. BTW the dark areas on my neck that look like dirt are just reflections, I swear! LOL
