Price Increase Update

I agree re handbag prices getting crazy. My SA told me that they could increase the prices even more and it still would not decrease the demand for the in demand bags.

It may be true and honestly part of any SA's job is to hype up products regardless of price hikes or how sought after they are. I think there is more than one story here...
Of course like other ultra high end brands H is raising prices...but they also seem to deliberately charge US customers a lot more specifically for most bags. The second part kind of irritates me because you're charging $7300 for a bag in Europe and then you charge $9300 (almost$10K with sales tax for some) in the states for the exact same product!

I understand it's a French company and I am totally fine paying a premium of 10-15% When purchasing in the US. However when that difference is 25-30+% it makes me want to circumvent buying in the US. The VAT refund at this point is just the icing on the cake but not even necessary for huge savings. So basically there is significant savings potential through..

Trips to Europe which can pay for themselves...
European personal shoppers, friends, relatives...
Heck..One could pay for someone's flight to Europe and request that they simply bring back a bag and even with no vat refund and US duties you still save...!
I would never have even thought of these options before but If anyone is in the market for a bag with that big a difference then logically one should consider the alternatives.

Evelyne doesn’t seemed to have price increase. The Gm 33 listed on the website for $3825 is for leather Taurillon Maurice, not Clemence and it is more than Clemence. The PM 29 size with Maurice is $3450 and Clemence is still $3375. Yay for no price increase on Evelyne ladies

The roulis price increase is crazy to me. They have increased that bag more than 30% in the last 3 years I believe.

Yeah I noticed this too. L26 was $6950 for clemence before and they sneakily increased the price without announcing to $7100 and now another increase to $7550.

Yeah if i recall correctly, this leather was priced the same as the barenia faubourg at $6000. Now it's up by $200.

I just purchased Lindy30 a couple weeks ago and wanted to get another in different color so I keep checking H website. I just noticed Lindy30 went up by $400, Lindy26 up by $450 Just from quick browsing it looks like Bolide, Evelyne, Picotin and ToolBox all went up in price. YIKES!

Is this the EU/UK website? Are those Europe / U.K. increases?? Is this exchange rate movement? I see you are quoting USD in the London thread. Thanks for clarifying!

But it's hard to score a B/K/C in Europe nowadays. FSH appointments success rate is low. Other stores usually offer coveted bag to locals or those who are willing to drop $$$. It's still worth a trip - and I would image once you have SA connection in Europe it's a different story.
