Price increase in Paris?

My SA in Paris just got back to me and assured me that Hermes has not raised their prices in France.

Could it be that the price differences listed in the Price Thread are a result of different leathers? Most of the base prices for Birkins and Kellys are for togo/clemence... chevre Birkins are about 300 euros MORE than their togo/clemence counterparts.

Avril - the prices you listed, are they for Paris? Or other EU countries?

Hey pyrexia, those prices are from the Ireland store but I would've thought that all € countries would have roughly the same price? I know that scarves are €5 more expensive here than the H France website but that doesn't explain the big difference between leather goods pricing ... :confused1:

The prices are NOT the same across Europe. I think France, Germany and Spain have the same prices, but for the Scandinavian / other EU countries, their prices are much, much, much higher.

I was with my SA in the store, and she called up the availability of croc CDCs across Europe in her computer system. The first result was France and the price listed was (IIRC) about 1250 Euros. Further down the list, a price of 2000+ Euros was listed - I asked about this, and was wondering what "special" CDC it could be that warranted such a huge price difference, but she told me it was also a croc CDC. They are just priced differently across the European countries.

Not sure why this is so, but definitely there is a price difference (and a HUGE one at that!) across the difference EU countries. Maybe due to the detaxe? I don't know.
