There is a price increase?:faint: Do we know when and how much?
I actually meant tariffs rather than price increase (more sinister but hopefully less likely). Apparently the US is going to impose tariffs on French imports as of Wednesday: https://www.wsj.com/articles/global...-as-u-s-and-france-exchange-blows-11609333200

Though of course whether scarves are included, and whether Hermes chooses to pass any part of this to the customer, whether anything actually happens on January 6th -- and in fact whether anything happens at all (this was already supposed to happen earlier this year and did not) -- are all very much up on the air.

In the meantime if anybody in the US needs an excuse to buy a scarf right this minute this is as good as it gets!

check out the European Websites... Right on time with the start of the year, Prices are up! CS 140 GMs are 15€ up to 965! There was a price increase a few years ago where GMs were left out, but that was an exception....
Double Face Carres are 30€ more!!!
really H?...
Oh dear, I thought CSGM were not concerned... The Double Face Carré increase looks like the one the Carré wash had the season after it appeared. That’s quite a lot

In the US I guess there are two things to watch for:
- Is there going to be a price increase?
- Is the US going to impose tariffs on French imports and will that cost be passed to the consumer?

Just checked the US website, prices for bags seem to be the same as yesterday, and no extra tax (beyond my expected sales tax) charged at checkout. I wonder if it’s too early to tell about the tariffs...

Fellow members in Singapore shared here that in Singapore B/K/C prices actually went down! I also saw report on SNS that certain other things went down a little too (a belt went from 1040 to 1010 SGD for example).

In the US last year certain things went down in price too when price adjustment occurred (I personally know some shoes and home goods did, like 50 dollars).

Hermès officially calls things “price adjustments” and while 99% of it is increase we’ve now seen that in rare instances they decrease things by a little.

The whole tariff thing though is probably a whole other issue. I’ve still no idea how that will play out.

Edit: and I just saw this

U.S. Suspends Plan to Impose Tariffs on French Luxury Goods
