Price increase in 2017?

Yes the CdC rose gold with diamonds is actually $1100 US less than when I bought it.:sad: Regardless I wear it and love it. Glad I didn't buy the Farandole necklace yet, as it is about $1000 less as well.

Thanks for sharing this Nerja~ after your post I went back to check and looks like even some silver jewelries have price reduction as well. For example the Birkin and Kelly charm bracelets were $530 before and now $475. Chaine d'Ancre Enchainee were $700(?) before and now $650~

Gosh that's painful. I'm sorry. At least you will get a discount on your next piece.

This is a lot nicer way to equalize prices than what Chanel did with huge increases overnight. When they decreased the price of scarves in 2015 hermes did refund the difference for purchases within 30 days. I hope whoever bought recently can get a refund.

I have bought almost all of my jewelry in Europe and calculating everything including tax refund and import duty it looks like everything is about 20% less there rather than 30% in the past.

PbP that is so great! We generally are in small towns so my ability to shop is limited. We will be fly-fishing in Europe this April which is a lot of fun, but no time for me to shop. When we return this summer I'll try to schedule some time one day for shopping. Unfortunately, the bracelet I purchased was over 30 days ago, so I'm out of luck on any possible refund. But like I mentioned above, I wear it an enjoy it; And who knew the prices would drop by about 10%?

(sorry for the double post - somehow my reply got into PbP's quote above )

Have not been on this thread at all BUT everyone knows that a price increase is coming, right?
It will roll out by category very shortly in the USA.
My SA stated this explicitly in an email last week.

Wow! Thanks for telling us. It seems they have not raised prices in a long time, so maybe they are now making changes?

Hmm... I wish we knew more details! did you notice that some of the fine jewelry just had a small decrease in price? My SA did not mention anything when I saw her recently, so I have to remember to ask.

The business has already slowed down and they are raising US prices to encourage more people going to Europe ?? A $1K shawl is already a limit to many. I can't see how they can keep growing their US business with another price increase, just because it seems to be the norm to have annual increase.

FWIW, I asked my SA two weeks ago and she said she hadn't heard of any price increases on anything. Granted, this is a pretty new SA relationship as I'm early in my H journey, but just putting that out there.

I do find it funny that they'd decrease price on jewelry right now only to take the prices back up a few weeks later (particularly with Valentine's day coming up). Maybe it's an increase on leathers and scarves but not jewelry?

My SA said that fine jewelry was decreasing as we talk at lengths its best to buy in Europe when I can. He anticipated porcelain to change (as of last Friday unclear if up or down) on or about 2/20. I needed a few plates so I got those last week to be within the 30 day window if it drops.

Thank you for the head's up on the porcelain. I also bought a couple of items last week, so at least I'll be in good shape with the home items in the event that the price drops.
