I would love to have a smith in nylon. people were asking for ridiculous prices, as much as the prices for the leather smith. I'm not paying leather prices for nylon or plastic...
I bought an orange nylon Smith bag on Ebay in March, 2021. I paid $83.33. I looked everywhere and at the time that was the only nylon Smith bag in red or orange. I see there's a navy nylon Smith bag on Ebay now for $45.00 ($17.05 shipping). But like you said, all the other Smith bags are priced high.

I slept on this and it was gone in the morning. wasn’t meant for me to have sigh
it was just gorgeous

i am very happy with the smith I did get. Was meant for me to have and is just as gorgeous…

I would not pay $225 for a nylon Smith bag either. They were only $99 at the outlet before they stopped selling them. And they were the same price or cheaper at places like Belk or Dillard's.

Thank you it helps a lot. I had no idea qvc was like a dept store. I just thought of it as shop from the tv at 4 am cause nothing else is on. I'm not sure where to find qvc in my channel line up... I'll have to look for it. As I'm always on YouTube, I see the older qvc videos. I'm in awe at all the colors that they offered in the Florentine presentations. It's great they're kinda archived on you tube. I see colors I would like and start my search. I wish they offered the violet, plum, crimson, ocean, sunflower, lavender and denim colors still. So pretty, vibrant, and very hard to find. Seeing these colors on qvc makes me wish Dooney caught my eye years ago. But I could not see past coach. Now I look at coach and nothing really catches my eye. They're bringing back all their old style into their new collection and I feel like the vintage originals look way better... I guess it's the full grain leather, vintage look I love.
Coach of old was a high quality brand that used full grain leather. Today, like many other
handbag companies, they make a range of products, using a range of different leathers. It's very hard for the consumer to know what the leather quality really is, since they use
marketing terminology to give the impression it's the same high quality leather the brand is know for.... but.... not true for the many of the bags offered today.

I guess you have to really know a brand to understand it's offerings.
I've sort of figured out Dooney, after many years. And Dooney is more open about
the leather for some of their high end lines, like Florentine and Alto. I still want to know
a lot more.

Oh that's lovely. I love your matching accessories! I've gone down the rabbit hole for accessories & I thoroughly enjoy every one of them! I keep them in a large flat storage bin under the bed that I just slide in & out. I need another bin - there's still room under there. ;)

I don’t have many accessories. Just this coach Peyton set that keeps adding onto itself, I just love this floral print so much lol. It makes me so happy just looking at it. The largest pouch is nylon, and everything else is thin lightweight saffiano leather.

I have a Dooney Dillen navy wristlet, a double zip pebbled red wristlet, a small red and white stripe Carrington, a navy florentine small coin case and a navy Florentine medium wristlet for my key pouch. It’s hardly ever in my purse and always in my uniform pants or coat pocket … I had a black pebbled wristlet for my keys, but I’ll be gifting it.

I love looking at the inside of a handbag with coordinated accessories.
I know if doesn't matter. But it just makes me happier when the colors/patterns
all work together. I want the accessories to be easily visible and also to be
able to pick out what I need quickly. Of course, they should coordinate with
the inside color of the handbag and look pleasing with the outside handbag color
too! I fell down the rabbit hole of accessories a few years ago. I thought I needed
a rainbow of colors and sizes to meet the aesthetic requirements and functionality.
There is no way out. Stay clear!

My best advice is to stick with one or two colors and coordinate sets in those
colors. Make sure all the pieces in each set work together.
In the end you will have more flexibility and function. And you will save
money and storage space, not to mention the burden of switching out the
accessories.

Just my opinion from deep in the accessory abyss......

Thank you. If I see this print for purchase, I am drawn to see what it is. If I don’t have the item, I could use the item in someway, and it’s a nice price, I will get it. $20 is a deal for this discontinued pattern. There is a makeup case and an umbrella that is in this print. One day the price will be right and I will snatch them up.
I really love all the colors. In the red interior of my Dooneys, this print POPS. They don’t feel great, like Florentine feels luxurious to touch, but they wipe clean easily and are very durable. I don’t need anymore accessory pouches than what I have now. But when the Black Friday sales come the Florentine double zip wristlet in navy is on my list. the tulip shopper and Clayton are also on my list.

I see that Ild has so many of the bags of old that I have added to my collection during my birthday celebration haul. The whipstitch drawstring, the small Logan, and the steel blue bags are looking great. I am happy that they opened the vault and brought back the older bags in The various leathers. I’m loving the small Logan so much I wouldn’t mind another in a different color. The medium mail bag in pebbled leather looks so appealing in red.
*inserting mantra I DON’T NEED EVERY HANDBAG I WANT/LOVE IN EVERY COLOR*

Updated SLG collection pic. The large saffiano pouch on the top right came yesterday. The pouch on the top left is nylon.

Moving out of the small Logan was hard to do… WIMB, it’s going to rain today and my large chestnut satchel is coming out to play in the rain… Neither of the large pouches will be going in my bag tho, nor the silk scarf square.

Why is it irritating to miss on a bag? Am I so irrational I believe I can snag every D&B bag I covet at the perfect price.
I saw an Alto fina in black someone sold NWT's for $100. I have two in other colors and love them. I gave up after looking the last 6 months and just spent 3X as much on a different style. Fingers crossed I like it and it arrives in good condition. It was the last one on ILD. I'm suspicious it's a return.
