I'm a firm believer that if you have to talk yourself into it or weigh the pros/cons then it's not love. I only buy bags that give me that "say yes to the dress" feeling. 😍

Preston. I have it in b/w. Love her!
+100
But I'll give my opinion anyway. Preston is the best looking but I can see where it would overwhelm your frame. Personally - not crazy about the b/w Pippa - the solid color one posted on the first page is adorable though. I like the Maise.
I like the grove court maisie. I really don't care for the Pippa in the black/white. I don't mind it that much in a solid color. I really don't like all those geometric angles, and they are so much more noticeable in the two-tone.
In my heart I know the regular Preston isn't the one. I need to just go ahead and return it. I'm going to look at the maise again because I'm really drawn to that bag! Glad to hear you have one and are using it!I actually have the Grove Court Maise in the Yves Blue color. It is the single Kate Spade bag in my collection right now; I've had it for about a year. I like the Maise more than the mini Preston. I wear both of them as satchels only (I removed the long straps completely) so I can't speak to how they function as crossbodies. But as a satchel, it is much easier to get in and out of the Maise. The Maise is slightly larger than the mini P and my stuff feels less crammed in there. And the Maise has feet!! I don't use it a whole ton, but I really don't see signs of wear on it. I have seen pics of myself holding it, and the Maise is probably the largest satchel size that I could pull off with my 4'11" frame. Anything larger would look overwhelming on me. The mini P is probably better for me proportionally, while the Maise is at the highest end of the "appropriate size" spectrum.
Personally, I prefer the look of the Maise to the Pippa because the Maise has a slimmer, less chunky profile. But that is JMHO. I do think burnsmr made an excellent point about knowing when it's love! It seems like you've been thinking about the regular Preston for such a long time that maybe it's not meant to be?
Good luck!
Smooth leather was the reason I didn't get Pippa. The only real concern I have with Pippa is the very smooth leather. I worry that it'll scratch easily. I would most often use the handles but would use the strap when I needed to have my hands free. It's such a pretty bag!
Love this!I have Grove Court Maise, i love it! To me its very similiar to the Preston other than the handles. I like that the handles can be folded down in the Grove Court. I also love the leather, been using it for spring. I wrap the long straps around the bag so it can be handsfree.
It really is smooth. Very pretty but seems delicate.Smooth leather was the reason I didn't get Pippa.
This color is so pretty! The bag isn't bad eitherPippa! I own it in this color, I'm carrying it right now for spring. I love this bag! It's not heavy, fits everything I carry and it's a perfect size. That Preston is a little too large for me.
