Possible Red Flag?

Considering a bag on eBay. Two lines in the listing seems like it might be a red flag, or I might be overanalyzing. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Authentic and please don’t not question it. Anyone who knows these bags knows this is authentic.

If a bag is authentic, why would the seller not want any questions? And the second line sounds like they are playing to a buyer's ego. 'I know these bags, so I don't want to look dumb by questioning the authenticity.'

Yeah that's a hard pass for me.

I saw a listing like that, I believe it was on Poshmark but might have been eBay, anyway, it was for a Balenciaga, which is a brand I own a LOT of and for which I used to authenticate, right here on TPF.
Same verbiage; "this bag is authentic so don't even question it." Frankly, as a buyer or potential buyer, being ordered to not do something (or do something for that matter) immediately makes me side eye the item, their feedback and their other listings.
I inspected the bag closely and it was counterfeit! So the seller got their wish, I didn't question them but I did report it and it was removed.
In your case, genuine or not, the sellers attitude is not good. If that's how the transaction starts out, YIKES, how would it go if there were any problems..
You'll find a better bag, from a much better seller that deserves your business.

Side Note: I'm checking the "what perfume are you wearing" thread daily to see if you post about your custom blended perfume. I hope you LOVE it. Please share when you receive it & test it out. I'm curious to know if it smells how you expect and about the lasting time.

Just on general principle if someone orders me not to do something it makes me want to do it... :shrugs: Happy to hear you caught the counterfeit bag. With the exact same wording, and this bag is a Bal, it might be the same seller with a new user id...

The perfumer finally mailed my perfume Friday - despite saying he'd mailed it a week earlier. It's scheduled for tomorrow, but given it's current location I don't think that will happen.

Don't not question it? That right along rings my danger bell.

Why would you not even question the authenticity? You did not buy it from the store so of course its natural to doubt it. If you are a reseller, you know this is given. You should be open to people who have doubts. You should not be offended at all. Youd want your buyers to be happy with their purchase. Peace of mind is something you could not get if buying from secondary market. As a seller you have to address this. I think people who are offended when questioned only use this as a defense mechanism. They have something to hide. Definitely a red flag
