My favorite complaint topic is Poshmark. I have complained endlessly on PF as a seller.

I think I am finally done. I have been digging through my closets and drawers for the past 18 months. Here is another complaint: online purchasing and sizing. For reference---I need to lose weight prior to Summer, but currently 5'1" and 111 pounds. I am a hard fit. I have clothing that currently fits with labels of XXS - L. Crazy!

As for Poshmark and expensive prices, as a seller, the prices people ask are nuts. I try for fair prices and get rid of it in quick order.

I made my last sale and my closet is closed, but I am curious about feedback from D&B buyers about my previous Alto sales.

I feel I can disclose because I am now a FORMER seller. The last four items were sold as bundled items to a frequent and nice buyer. The real selling prices were 1) LK Bennett claret coat NWT $50.00, Jimmy Choo New boots $40.00, La Ligne sweater NWT $39.00 and Sea NY 100% cashmere sweater NWT $40.00.

Yeah! No more selling for me. I made three donation drop offs this week. Why all the crazy sizes? I was on gabapentin for nerve pain. I asked my physician if my water weight gain was due to medication. He said, "No, you're just fat." I went off the med under Dr. supervision and dropped 30 pounds in 30 days. Fashionwise, it was a very expensive medication to be on. Want to see my Alto bags that have been sold? Under my husband's seller name of mdsanzone. Hope you all think I was fair.
That doctor was wrong in calling u fat firstly and secondly I too gained weight from that medication and lost it once I was off it months later. I am around 5' 2" and 120lbs and it's become so frustrating buying any type of clothing online unless I know the brand. If possible I'll try on items in store and purchase online, especially if there's a sale. But I've found sometimes brands change up the sizes especially on their different collections or styles. I've been an xxs as well and it's been hard enough having to always choose between small and xs and petite and that's not even including length. Lol
I just bought my first alto bag of Poshmark for less than $60. It's an older messenger type bag but absolutely beautiful and I now see why they are at a higher price point.

Alto Viola in the larger size is the 'one that got away'.... I always wanted it.
I'm happy for you that you are done. It can be very stressful.
Don't beat yourself up over what was, enjoy where you are.
You have always had an amazing collection and sense of style.
And that Dr should have his mouth taped closed.... for so many reasons.
Don't let him or anyone put you down. Meds cause all kinds of issues
and can interact with one another. No doctor has all the answers.
And to prejudge and add to your stress level.... unacceptable!

Yeah! Thank you for kind words from a former fellow gabapentin user.

Congratulations on your Alto bag. D&B bags are great, but the Alto line is a distinct look. You ended up with a good deal and a perfect way to find out if you like the smooth leather. They are lovely and they need to be treated with care. I take florentine for busy trips and Alto on light use days.

I think some health care workers miss the lecture on taking a tactful approach with patients. I say this as an RN.

The one issue with the Viola bag is the small handle is a bit strange. I kept one Viola bag. I had a buyer cancel an order.

You are 💯 right here. Since having kids, I’ve been screaming this - it’s like doctors have no bedside manor anymore. Politics aside, when my son was in the hospital, the neurologist cracked a ***** joke, his resident said through gritted teeth “I can’t believe you just said that.” Like Queen Victoria, I was NOT amused. 😒

has anyone noticed this? not illegal but somewhat annoying. sellers "stealing" descriptions from other seller's listing. I have my eye an a style of bag. It's older but not rare. there are at least four of them listed on posh right now. I found one that I wanted to remember which was described as "rare, retired"...then saw someone else with the same heading.

Could it be an AI description? The last time I listed on eBay they gave me the option of using their AI description based on the name of the bag.

Yes, eBay seems to be taking the laziest approach to everything on the site.

I purchased several D&B bags on eBay this year since ILD had good prices. Except, I think I am done with eBay and no longer want to give them any money. I will buy straight from ILD. If the price is higher at ILD v ILD eBay...I will skip the

Currently, I have a NAD dispute on eBay as a buyer. My second one since 2013. This is day number 4 and seller has not communicated or sent a return shipping label.

When I sell my D&B bags I provide photos of the bag I am selling (no stock pics), inside, front, back, straps, extras with bag, identifying Dooney labels, registration card, original plastic bag from shipping and dust cover. In the last six months I sold a combined listing of 2 Alto bags (a red Flavia and a burgundy Zena). One NWT and the other carried 1-2 times, but perfect. I think I sold the two for $230 total. How do sellers come up with crazy prices for beat up or fake D&B bags? I'm glad I'm out of bags to sell.

How do these cheats get away with listing fakes?

Agree with @swags. Probably AI generated. When I post things to sell on Nextdoor, Nextdoor's AI "looks" at the picture I upload and generates a description and even a price. The descriptions are remarkably accurate. Sometimes better than the ones I write. Kinda creepy, ya know?

interesting....I've never had this happen when I post on Poshmark

Thank you! I just received the return shipping info and a request from the seller to revise my feedback.

This is her reasoning: 1) she gave her okay for the return, 2) her grandfather died, 3) she sent the shipping label but it didn't go through and she sent it a second time.

I am going to see if I can revise my feedback to include seller being full of excuses.

My question is: what does her pile of excuses have to do with the fact she listed an item, lied about condition and sold the item to an eBay buyer.

Get your money back if you can before you change your feedback and make the seller more upset. Your feedback update is your leverage in getting the refund.
