Seriously considering a mini crossbody in black (smooth). Are we finding these hold up well in rain/snow? I don’t mind using a different bag if the weather is bad but I also don’t love having to baby something.
I am very new to PLG with my first purchase last month. However, the best thing about it is I DON'T have to baby it. The medium open top is not a "refined" bag, with its raw edges, etc, but that makes it great for conditions where I don't want to carry a more expensive or less sturdy bag. I slid it under an airline seat and rode 500+ miles with it on the not very clean floor of a truck. It got scratched and scuffed, but that's okay. Dust wiped off and the scratches rubbed out.

I have a mini crossbody in Deep Water heading my way now!

Today I got really lucky with my mystery box and received a peacock one. I was hoping for one but figured I would be happy with any color I don’t already have. Also if I got a duplicate I would pick the one I liked best anf sell the other. Boy was I shocked when I actually got a peacock. So happy!
I love the color. I wish they would have this color to order. Congratulations on your beautiful bag.

I have a Grizzly tote, it is smooth and like a "marbled" mix of a cognac brown and a darker brown. Definite reddish undertones. It is really pretty. I'm attaching a photo. The grizzly leather is supposed to be more weather-resistant due to whatever treatment they apply. (At least that is what I recall from when I purchased it.)

That looks a lot more like Canyon now than Grizzly. Grizzly seems to be a very deep brown more consistent but the Canyon is the stiffest leather which is awesome and has a super marbled appearance

Ty! I am eyeing up something in Sunflower.
I have vintage and older coach. I really like the leather but find the style pretty plain and lacks any of the piping finishing and support of the Coach. Now i know most coach now are made in china but there is so much detail and hardware on the coach that i dont think warrant a 700 tote price but at 50% off at christmas the Coach Cashin totes smoke these. I am using these for the rugged wear and totes for loading things. At just over a hundred vs the Coach Boutique pricing is worth it for the purpose. My sister took a liking to these bags because they are a ton lighter than the same size coach. Hardware, lining, structure, piping and more durable and dying process do make it a much heavier bag. Portland has a place but it is not going to come close to even the leather or seaming of a Vintage coach bag even.

The Portland Leather bags strike me as being quite utilitarian as well and I haven't ruled one out. It is nice to see they offer some colors that are not easily /cheaply found in vintage Coach.
Agreed, what I call the original weight full grain leather Coach used in vintage bags does not make for a lightweight bag, and neither does the hardware. Fortunately I am the hearty soul that can manage them.

Hi all! I got my first PLG items today with a Mystery Tote + 4 box! I got a medium Classic Tote in True Red with Tan Handles, triangle coin purse (not sure if it is Sunflower, it's sorta yellow), grey suede make up bag, small brown pencil case, and black card holder.

 this red! I see they don't have it right at the moment ... darn it! I am getting the Deep Water Mini Crossbody Tote - if anybody sees a large Classic in the True Red, let me know.
