I had the same debate and bought the pochette and now am wishing I had bought the Eva instead. The Eva looks more finished with the pleating, chain, and name plate whereas the pochette is a nice one to have for putting in bigger bags. I think I may have room in my collection for both. As far as prints go I prefer the Eva in mono (a scratched up gold plate would bother me) and the pochette in DE. Good luck deciding!

I have Eva in DE and love it but the plate definitely gets scratched up and I'm pretty easy on my bags. I took it in to LV to see about replacing the plate and the SA made a great point. She held it away from me a couple feet and said, "Can you even see the scratches from here?" I couldn't! So even though it gets scratched only I can see them unless someone examines my bag up close! I much prefer Eva in DE to Mono. It doesn't hold a ton but it's elegant and I love that it can be carried by the chain for dressier occasions and cross body for more casual.

I have the Eva DE and epi pochette which I bought with alma bb strap.
Of all the things you listed as essential items, the sunglasses with case might not work for both. My solution is I put my sunglasses in a fabric pouch.
I use the Eva when I'm wearing brown and epi pochette when I want to be discreet.
Since you are tall enough, get the Eva and then look into your wardrobe, bag collection and lifestyle for the print choice.

Here is a picture of the DE eva with the items you want
Ray bans in case , iPhone 6, cles with my car keys and door keys, dior lipgloss. I still have room on the top to add extra items.

I would say go with the eva. I had this same issue in September and when I went into store the SA said to me that the eva was better value as you get more detail to the bag, plus 2 different straps.

Also if you want to add a pochette later you already have a strap to use with it.

Also I always put my gold chain inside the bag when I don't use it to help not scratch the plate on the bag

I was surprised to see the picture with the sunglasses. I would think that was a tight squeeze. I do have two Eva's, favorite MM and a pochette NM. Favorite MM is bigger, love the extra room but I feel I have to be more careful without the zip. I love my Eva's because they come with a strap and are easier to dress up or down. The pochette NM is an easy bag though with an inside pocket. I just came back from Disney/Universal and was the bag I used. Took the long strap off from my eva and used it for dinner. You can't go wrong with either.

Looks like you got your answer on the Eva! I have a pochette NM in DA (with an Eva on the way- there's plenty of room for both in my purse collection!) and when I carry the NM I can fit cles with car fob, a small wallet, house keys, iphone, and I can tuck my reading glasses in the edge of the pocket on top of everything if they are not in a case and still have it zip fine. I'm guessing your sunglasses might take up the same amount of room as my small wallet so you might be able to make it. Maybe take them to the store and see which fits better and which look you like better?

I like the Pochette more, but that's just because I love the form factory and for some reason I've just always thought that gold plates such as the one on the Eva were tacky, and I just don't like the shape of the Eva.

I have the mono pochette and DE Eva. I love both and at first I would recommend the Eva, but I do use my pochette more. For me, pochette works as an every day grab and go. I have only used my Eva once cross body. However, I love it as a cute evening bag with the chain. I honestly think both items are great to add to a collection but I do love the versatility of the Eva and would probably use it more cross body if I didn't have the pochette. Best of luck deciding xxx

I think the Eva is so cute and I enjoyed carrying it as a handbag. I eventually sold it and bought a WOC, which I now use as my date night bag.

98% of the time, I use my Pochette as a carry-all in my handbags. and I could NOT do without it! On some occasions, I take it out and throw my phone in there and my cles with cards and use it as a small handbag. I always leave the gold key ring chain (the one most often used with the Insolite) and the gold pochette key ring extender (not sure that is the name!) and can use it on my shoulder if I want to. I love how it looks in my bag and it's there when I want to hand carry it.

If you want a really versatile bag that will never look dated or go out of style-go for the pochette. You can use that for a lifetime, in many different ways, and in almost any occasion. Maybe get the Eva down the road, or save a little money and find it pre-loved.

I agree with the others, if you put your glasses in a soft pouch, they will fit in any bag. I almost always use the soft pouch now for all my bags, even when there is plenty of room for a hard case. I was afraid they'd break, but they never have!

Ultimately, you should get both!

I had the same dilemma. I ended up going with the Eva in mono first & recently added the Pochette NM DE. I love the Eva as a clutch for nights out & wear it as a crossbody for shopping. I keep my Pochette in my main bag with my wallet, lip gloss, key & Ray Bans. That way I can easily switch it to my gym bag & then back to my main bag. I really like having both!

I had the same dilemma not so long ago. I went into LV deciding that I am buying the pochette but walked out with an Eva instead. I initially wanted the pochette due to it's lower price and it is quite discrete with no plaques. I was going to buy the chain strap from eBay to use it as crossbody. When I was there and had the pochette and Eva side by side there was just no comparison. I also felt I got more for my money with the Eva. The best thing about the Eva to me is the strap. Since, I have bought both mono and DE pochettes preloved and I use my Eva strap for them and my mini pochettes.
