Okay so ame... I'm learning so much from this! Thanks so much for the input everyone!

But I'm just putting this to you (from a learning persepective - maybe I'm missing something!!) - it's 0.2% outside of the ideal range. Is that really going to make a difference? I'm getting advice to go down a colour or clarity GRADE... but 0.2% is bad?

a lower color or clarity is not necessarily going to affect the light return. The slightest change of angle WILL. We're telling you that you can get a pair of H I even J color studs, with SI 1 clarity for 1) less money and 2) that are still ideal cut stones by angles, etc. Just because it's a "lower color" and "lower clarity" does NOT make them inferior stones.

Ok.....before you get a slap......oh heck......I'll give you one regardless :bagslap: Listen to the sound advice being given!!!!

Get the 1.2's!!!!! They win hands-down by the majority of us here!!! No one will be able to tell if they're 1.2 or 1.4 in your ears!!! Save the extra $$$ & get yourself something extra.....like a pendant to match! ;)

Hahahaha! Okay okay! I will get the 1.2 ideal g vs2's and stop bugging you all! ;)

Don't just settle because we tell you to!

Cut quality trumps all others when it comes to getting amazing diamonds. Clarity and color are secondary. They do not affect sparkle like the cut does. Unless you're getting something just so included (like I2) that there's nowhere for the light to go.

If you could find a set of H's even with those angles that's what I would do. But you have to be comfortable with them.

And when you get whatever you order, if you don't 100% love them with your eyes, send them back.

agreed. no need to struggle over the slight differences between the 2 pairs when they will be in your ears. honestly, it probably wouldn't make much difference even if they were in a ring. save $800 & get yourself a bag or shoes or something!

Thank you all soooo much! You have ALL convinced me to go with the perfectly cut, perfect perfect ideal across the board 1.2 G VS2's!!! AND I am going to order them TONIGHT! YAYAYAYAY!

:) :) :) :) Here I go!

YES!!! It is DONE! They are going to ship tomorrow!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!

And the best part is that I feel like I picked the right ones - thanks for letting me drive you all crazy! I had all of the diamonds that I'd "compared" in my shopping basket and can't believe how many different ones I'd "decided" on through this process - but the ones I chose were the ones I and everyone here kept coming back to! :) I feel no buyers remorse or icky "should have bought the bigger ones" feelings at all. Phew!!! I am sure they will be so so pretty. I always said size wasn't the biggest concern but you all helped me remember that I felt that way to begin with. It came out to just over what I said my budget would be and I'm getting the most sparkly sparkly diamonds I can get in a really really nice size and colour and am thrilled!!!

Can't wait to come home and find them waiting for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
