Call me frugal or money smart but if I am going to buy something soon anyways I would rather save 1000. I would not rush to buy something I am unsure of but something I am sure why not save some money in the process. I love this thread and title!The name of the thread cracks me up...." beat" the price increase. On 20 000 the mark up is only 1000.
I'm glad though because they are clearing old stocks in the boutiques this way. Not a bad strategy.

Omg this!!! I have always felt I’m the only person who overthinks this and SAs always tell me I’m crazy when I say this... always feel like I onl WG necklaces suit me, but don’t mind YG on my wrist/hands.

Exactly. I saved about $1100 on my two pieces. I was going to buy them anyway. So why not get them before the price increase???
Managed to put deposit for a pair of vintage MOP earrings yesterday.. yay
I put down the deposit for a pair of TQ Perlee earrings, to match my TQ Perlee pendant. Was going to confirm MA pave earrings in WG but hesitated bc I have another HUGE(R) non-bling purchase coming up. I am now glad I hesitated bc I'm going to SO WG guilloche LE earrings to go with the HP, which my SA has promised to put aside for me. Not sure now if I still want MA pave earrings.
I think the SO WG guilloche earrings might be able to fill the void of MA pave earrings. If not, you can always get it later. Did you hear from your SA that it's approved? I want to SO a WG guilloche bracelet
My last purchase was made a couple weeks ago when there were rumors of a price increase. It's the WG small frivole earrings. It was sold out at NM but my SA said they should be getting more in a few weeks. Hopefully soon!

I love matching sets and have always wanted guilloche but solid YG, especially VCA solid YG, looks awful against my skin. I've asked my SA re the SO. Not sure if she's even written to Head Office, haha. I promise I will update you gals once I hear back.
I'd love a WG guilloche pave bracelet, and am waiting patiently (maybe famous last words) for this to be introduced into their permanent offerings.
No regret about the MA pave earrings. I can always get them later, as you said.

thank you! It would have been so much easier for me if wg didn’t look so blah near my face...lots of wg pave options. For the same reason wmop isn’t my friend either. I’m fortunate that I have a few pieces that either have both pg and wg together or a similar look (SS Watch with PMOP face) so it’s easier to bring in a mix of metals.
I am exactly the same but the opposite! I love yg and can wear it in bracelets and long pendants over clothes, but next to my face I need white metals. That's one reason I got the yg pave VA earrings instead of solid yg VA or Magic since the white diamonds break up the gold a bit. I am hoping to eventually be able to try on the pg gmop Magic pendant and bracelet to see if I can wear them. And as I told you, I really love the pg Perlee clover bracelet which would be so pretty with those! My wishlist may need to be trimmed down, though!
