Got this older Gucci by Tom Ford bag a little while ago. Anyone know the year or name? I think its from 2003 but im not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think it had a name but it is from SS 2003

There's no tag or number inside the bag. There's a key to the lock.

Cheers
I hope somebody can help:)

Let me preface this by saying I am NOT an authenticator, but I do love vintage Gucci, so please take this with a grain of salt. IMO I would estimate it as a 1960's bag, which would not have had a serial number, and at most could have the maker's number, typically located in the back, near the side. Quite lovely - I adore the kelly bags with the red lining!

Can anyone tell me anything about this Gucci? I understand it's a LE, but not sure what year it's from etc. It's for sale and I usually go for solid color bags but this one caught me eye.

It was made to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Gucci's flagship store on Rome's prestigious via Condotti. There was a HUGE party. It's the Roma Exclusive edition of the Joy Boston with the 1950s postcard acquerello print of the Scalinata di Piazza di Spagna and via Condotti the foot of the steps is the location the original Rome store.

There was a glut of leftovers only able to be sold outside Europe and were available at a knock-down price $299 about 5 years ago. I'm not sure of the reason for so many, perhaps they arrived too late for the party(?)

I have another LE Joy Boston but the Roma one is the prettiest by far

Hope this helps

Thanks Papertiger. I see it for sale in a consighment store and I'm sure the price is quite a bit more...I can't believe they went for so little. Did you go to the party?!!!

I got an invite but I couldn't go due to of all things being in the US at the time! The Rome store is a favourite of Frida's (who is after all a true Roman) she even relocated the entire Gucci creative team from Florence to Rome quite soon after.

As for the price, it sounds like more than 50% off to me. This is a fairly large bag at about 15" in length whereas my med Joy is approx. 12.6 (32cm).

I am looking for this exact bag except in monogram instead of the brown leather. I love the red and green stripe handle. Any idea of the name or if it is vintage? I saw someone carrying it and have been on the hunt for it ever since. Thanks!

This is not my listing.

I think it's from the Heritage line (obviously the shoulder bag)

If you wait for SS15 bags to go up the web-stripe is returning and esp for shoulder bags, although I've no idea if they'll have exactly this shape and softness.

Hy, everyone
I would really appreciate some assistance in recognizing the name of this bag for my aunt.

She said she got it between 1980-1985 and that it came with a small coin pouch and a mirror, if that helps

Thanx ahead ;)
