Does anyone know the name and date of this please? Any any idea of the original price when it came out?

Cus, you see the top part? seems like you can tuck the short handles inside and it becomes a longer handled zipped bag.
The bag doesn't look like it's from the current season - I'm probably way off base but the hardware looks like it's from the icon bit season (could be a couple of seasons ago) and if it is, the bag would probably be around $2000+. PT will most likely be able to identify that bag.

This is a men's bag from 2009. It's part of the Galaxy range and they wouldn't have made many of them. investin's correct it's a Convertible Hobo travel bag. GhstDreamer is probably correct about the price, I would put it at around that too.
I don't know the model number but Gucci only made 2 Galaxy models as I can remember, this and a document holder.
Maybe try the outlets if you can. The best of luck, I really like the bag (for me too

When I say Gucci only made 2 models of the Galaxy I mean in the men's travel range. There were plenty of Galaxy models for women.
PT: I knew you would know! I kept thinking the chain strap look so darn familiar but couldn't quite place what style it was! Old age catching up, I guess! lol I thought it was a couple of years ago when the Galaxy and the Icon Bit were released roughly during the same time? I know a few members here purchased those gorgeous Galaxy bags.
