This is a cosmetics bag. I don't think that it's part of a particular collection. Gucci produced them several years in a row.

The bag was for purchase. I purchased a fabric gucci cosmetics bag (in a different style) for about $300 in 2008, so I'm guessing that your bag retailed for around the same price. My guess is that the bag was produced within the last 10 years. If you search the small accessories section of gucci.com, you'll see an updated version of your bag that retails for $310.

I'm not sure this has a special name, it looks vintage. If you show me the inside where 'Gucci' is written I might be able to date it for you.
