Vintage coated canvas (treatment known as ‘Marco polo’) - it pre-dates our forum (I’m thinking sometime in the early 1980s).

I was researching a different bag, and happened upon this in an old thread. I have this tote and assumed it was lizard, but apparently it is python? Can jburgh or anyone confirm? It seems as if its both bags? Not just the Cocker? Thanks for any help :smile:

Here it is! I kinda think its lizard. Its weird cuz there are some bags i have that are ‘mixed’, and hard to tell what skins. I should post a few b/c i really want to catalogue the bags i have, years, colors, skins.

Including interior pix too b/c its just so luxe and well made. There is a complete interior lining/layer of leather (calfskin?) intrecciato…. And a leather pocket complete with sterling plate. Mirror too!

It’s lizard/tejus.
Does the plaque give an edition number? I thought this was 200 pieces. If you put lizard and Karung side by side (or side by each as my French Canadian friends say :lol: ) you can see the difference.

I am thinking on this little cutie, the center section is also karung? I am pretty sure, just want to confirm. I’ve been trying to find references to it in old threads to ascertain color/name, but no luck yet. And the side panels are done in ayers? And the edging is stingray. This little bag is a work of art.

The mesh handle says FW2012 or Cruise 2012-2013. Maybe SS13? I’ll have to see what the “magic box” says when I get home later tonight.

Hi all!

I picked this adorable vintage clutch an an estate sale a while back, and am not a Bottega person, so have no idea where to begin on dating / authenticating it. The seller had a number of designer items from the '70s and '80s and not much any newer, so I'm guessing it's from that era? Thanks for any help in IDing / authenticating!

This pre-dates the forum by many years, but based on others I’ve seen with this logo, it appears authentic. Did you find any label in the zippered pocket, any possible remnants? If so, please provide photos.
