Please HELP Style my Hermes Bag / Scarf / Jewellery / RTW Thread for ALL

Too hot for a silk scarf, but I think I can get way with a chiffon one .
Today I will have a casual lunch with a couple (a little older than us. ) I want to relax but also try to look conservative, I give my Hermes 2002 a try. But the whole outfit look confuse to me . Maybe I have to Change my chiffon to some thing black and white to make the whole look not to colorist !!! Today is One of the day that I feel I meet “ first world problem” . I need help styling with my Hermes print bag. Please tell me what you think.

I think we need a new thread like this so I've moved your question here. All H items welcome.


You actually look fine, but I think the high contrast bag and shoes is fighting a little with the barely-there colours of the scarf and the shorts. Just leaving off the scarf or wearing a dark pendant, tie (worn as scarf) or scarf as headband may have been more in keeping with that FABULOUS bag.

You could go for a darker (navy or black) or white shift (or slip dress) or wear a monochrome in the Summer. I think whatever the weather the outfit needs to be quite minimalist/modernist.

The entire outfit is lovely, but I think a light color bag would work much better than black.

Personally I find your separates are too fussy for a statement bag like this. When I plan my outfit, I ask myself do I want to use a particular bag so I make the outfit work for the bag, or do I want to wear a particular piece of clothing then I choose a bag that will compliment the outfit.

In your case, if you want to use the statement bag like your 2002, I would choose a minimalistic outfit, like a shift dress in one colour. Maybe some accessories but mainly let the bag do the talking. Have fun styling.
