I'm not familiar with the years that had better leather and I'm still trying to learn about the fakes and what to look out for. The small City (aka City S) came out in F/W 2016, so I'm not familiar with the newer leathers. Luckily black was made every season, so there will be a lot on the resale market.
Just check the various resale sites (Ebay, VC, Fashionphile, tRR, etc.) and post anything that catches your eye on the authentication thread. (I know that feeling of trying to educate yourself on how to distinguish a fake; took me years to pick up on all the subtle nuances!)

If you like this metallic edge black S City, post it in the Authentication Thread for a check. Chevre (goatskin) leather can be very nice. I've found that I prefer chevre. From one relatively newbie to another, welcome to Bal!
