Please help me choose! Cartier Tank Solo or Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso

I have both watches but I must say that if I had to choose one, it would be the reverso. To me, it is more special than the tank as you can engrave on the other side (I plan to pass mine to my daughter - so have engraved my "words of wisdom" on it). Plus the reverso wins hands down in terms of watch movement.

I was thinking that myself - it would be nice to give it to my daughter some day. My husband thinks he prefers the Tank but hasn't seen me try the JLC on either. He himself wants a Reverso Duo one day, so maybe he's just jealous that I'm getting one before him. :P

Ok I think I am going with a Reverso... I decided that I would rather get a Tank Louis Cartier someday in the future than a Solo now (because the price is double the budget). Now the question is, Reverso Lady or Ultra Thin? Even though it is bigger, I think I may prefer the more modern look of the Ultra Thin...

Both look good to me, but would look even better on a custom blue alligator strap.

I think this is the smallest size - my wrists are really skinny (doesn't match the rest of me), that's one of my concerns. That's why I eliminated the Chanel J12 - it looked huge and clunky on me!

The smaller Reverso looks perfect on you. It has a bit of depth, so it isn't totally flat, yet it has a delicate size for smaller wrists. I started with a smaller JCL Reverso, but had to switch to a medium because my wrists are on the med to larger side.

The medium looks ok on you as well, but it is a bit larger. I like it better than the Cartier.

100% agree with this post

Glad you finally tried on the reverso and decided to get it. I would think the lady reverso looks slightly better on you. Elegant and complements your rings.

Congrats! The JLC is beautiful! I think the smaller looks really elegant on your wrist and the larger one has a more "fun" big watch feel. Can't go wrong with either, just depends the look you want.

Thanks everyone! After much debate and discussion with DH, I decided to go with the Ultra Thin SS with black strap (I want to purchase an extra strap in a fun color as well). Even though in the pictures the Lady seems more proportioned, in person the Ultra Thin goes better with my overall look, if that makes sense. Plus I love the face. I will try to post pics when it arrives!

Both are lovely! Enjoy your new watch.

After deciding on the Reverso, my in laws heard me talking to my husband about preferring the Tank Louis to the Solo and surprised me with it! It's so elegant and the size suits my wrist well. I'm so excited I had to share!

I know my husband wants a Reverso Duo, so maybe we can get matching ones in the future instead. ;)

Looks like you ended up with both (easier than having to decide between the two).
Enjoy :balloon:
