I am also a new member and not very forum savvy . I have a few vintage / pre-loved bags (Versace, Coach , LV) given to me and would like to know whether they are genuine. I have taken pictures of the items and any help would be appreciated. Can I post the request and the pictures here? I don't want to do it if it doesn't adhere to the guidelines.

All of the major designer brands have their own forums, and all authentication requests need to be posted in the correct forum and following the rules and requirements that are usually found in the "Authenticate This ...(brand name)" found in each forum, usually in the "(brand name) Shopping Forum". If you post anywhere other than the specific authentication thread your question will be ignored, so don't waste your time posting photos until you're in the right place.

For instance, the Coach authentication thread is in the Coach Shopping sub-forum under the main Coach forum, which is under the Contemporary Designers forum. MOST Authenticate This... threads will be in that brand's "Shopping" forum so check there first.. The very first post gives instructions on what photos and information are required, and every brand's rules are different so read them CAREFULLY and follow them or your post might be ignored. We're very lucky at the Coach forum to have 4 full-time authenticators but even with that advantage it still may take a while to get an answer. Smaller forums may take longer so be patient and don't re-post your question if you don't get an answer within a day or two.

Read the Instructions in the first post, and then go to the most recent post page (the Coach forum is over 42000 posts at the moment), scroll down to just past the last post to the "POST REPLY" box and post your question along with the required information especially the item's location and link or other purchase information, and post the photos, the most important ones being of the creed stamp and serial number if it has one as well as the front and back of the item.

This site is HUGE and can be very confusing so look around to get your bearings before posting to make sure you're posting in the right place. Try to NOT dig up old posts from months or years back, so be sure to look through the indexes (indecies?) in each forum to find the best and most recent discussion about the subject you're interested in.

Hi, could you please help me authenticate this Hermes belt? Many brands or specific items among certain brands do not have a dedicated authenticator, so that’s probably why your posts are not answered. There is no authenticator assigned to this specific thread at all as far as I know. My best advice is to do a search online for the brand and item along with the term “authentication service”.
There are some specific items that have specific threads on this forum where you can get authentication, and the first post in each of these threads will give specific instructions of all of the photos and guidelines needed to get an accurate authentication. Otherwise a paid service may be the only option, but they are often quite affordable. Wishing you the best of luck.
