Please help me authenticate-How do u do it??

Good morning, I joined purse forum a few days ago and find it quite difficult finding my way around. I have a beautiful older Chloe paddington bag and have read and reread how to determine authenticity. The leather certainly seems authentic but no serial number, or Chloe on the key and a couple other. I have read older bags did not always have serial numbers.
Difficulty here is having the required 10 posts before submitting a authentic this item. My knowledge of bags is zero at this time.

Hey dolls,I'm new to the forum and whilst trying to open a thread to request assistance in authenticating a pair of CL pigalles on eBay,my purse forum account won't allow me (I think it's because I'm new?). Anyways il stop rambling.. Cut long story short ive been pining after a pair of 120 black patent pigalles for 2 years and have not successfully found them in my size (37.5). However I just seen a listing on eBay and I really really need help ensuring the authenticity of the shoes.
