Hello everyone. Just bought this 2011 “Barda” in Sikkim leather from Fashionphile and wanted some opinions on the color. They originally listed it as Gold and when I questioned it they said it was an error and it is actually Etoupe. It doesn’t actually look like either to me (the Hunter strap is more Gold) but could it just be the way Sikkim takes the Etoupe color? Any thoughts? Here are some indoor and outdoor pics.

Would you be able to provide more pictures in natural lighting (not shadowy or direct sunlight)? Any information on the production year?
I has a 2012 date stamp (P in a square) Here’s another photo in my closet, will try to take one in the natural light tomorrow. Any idea based on this? It definitely absorbs light and looks different in photos, this is a bit more true to life.IMG_7201.webp

Hey there.:flowers: I believe this could be Toundra. I do not recall Étoupe or Gold being available for the Sikkim Barda, anyway.

While I do have some guesses about the colour based on the production year and the pictures provided so far, I would prefer to give you a more accurate opinion once I have better pictures.

Thank you so much!! Toundra looks right but even with the contrast stitch?
Gladly! :flowers: That is the one thing I’m not certain about. Sikkim leather is a bit of an anomaly, though; it often features Naturel/white stitching, regardless of the item’s colour (e.g., Double Sens, Bolide Relax, etc.).

Furthermore, traditional rules on leather-stitching congruity don’t apply as heavily to menswear. It’s not uncommon to see some menswear bags with Naturel/white or tonal stitching when they otherwise would not.

Ahh that makes sense that they would treat the men’s line differently. Thanks again. It’s such a nice color but it was driving me nuts not knowing the correct name haha. And the Sikkim leather is so buttery!!
