it's a sign! it's a sign!!! :graucho:

thankyou, i would really love to see your set, i'm sure it's really gorgeous! i know about the eternity's ... my uncle's company had to make the mold for me 3 times before getting the size right with the 20 stones i specifically requested, no more no less. they finally got it right and i can't be happier!

YAY! Glad it is perfect for you! I start vacation in 12 hours so hopefully sometime in there I can post mine for you. And I hope it is a "sign" me and DH are going to "discuss" it tonight!

Have you thought about just leaving the center stone as a solitaire? It would look great with your band. If you're not into the idea of a solitaire, then I like the baguettes on the sides!

yes! i have been thinking of that too... i will look at some this saturday and take some solitaire photos as well !

i am sort of liking a very delicate 6-prong crown setting... my current setting is quite low (6mm from the bottom of the shank to the table of the diamond). the solitaire i tried on in the photo (with the 2 tacked-on side stones) has a crown setting of 7mm, causing the stone face up even larger than my current stone and look more 3-D and lively, as opposed to a little on the flat side like my current one. i very much think that the 7mm height is the sweet spot. some 8mm out there really just stick way out and high from the finger.

If I were you, I would skip the side-stones altogether and just wear it as a solitaire. Especially since your wedding band is so blingy. I think with side-stones AND a blingy wedding band, your beautiful center stone gets lost. Go for a solitaire!!! Then make earrings out of your side pears!!!!!!!

This photo is what got me in trouble. When I first saw this photo, I fell in love with your ring. The image stuck in my mind for a long time. I made a copy of the photo, so I could drool over it from time to time. Finally, I managed to get myself a similar ring (except that mine has round edge). (BTW, you have gorgeous hand and fingers. Any chance of you being a hand model?)
Please do not change a thing. Your ring looks perfect as is. If you want to change something, perhaps round out the edges a bit.

Imitation is a great form of flattery. See my ring?

When wearing your eternity band with your e-ring, watch out for any potential problem of diamonds eating up the adjacent prong metal. Perhaps, you may consider wearing a thin (1mm-2mm) plain band in between. In addition to providing protection, the spacer ring may help "break up" the busy look of the blurry blink.

No, I saw your ring here on tpf. Had no idea about the stat and make of your ring. I sent your photo to my jeweler. He knew immediately that the setting was Vatche. He had mine custom made with round edge, but kept a small part of it knife edge (next to pear sides) for a slim look. I love my ring very much, and it is very comfortable.

Stat: center stone 2.4 ct ACA (top cut), side pears 0.82 ctw.

Are you a hand model? If not, have you considered being one for your Uncle at least?

I have followed this over on PS. I am so sad you don't love the ring as is, it's to die for. But if it's not comfortable you have to change it. I think side rounds would be great. But what would you do with the pears?

now here are my possible options:

-3 rounds (my favorite so far)
-thin bagettes
-solitaire
-moon shaped sides

thanks guys!!! please do post more suggestions if you have any more ideas!!

xoxo
