Thanks everyone for your replies! I have decided to go for Toy Loulou. I have to decide now what hardware is going to be more versatile. I keep seeing different options on different websites. Does anyone know what hardware options are available for this bag? Are there different types of leather? I also notice that some straps on pictures look adjustable and some are not?

Loulou should have silver, gold, and black-plated hardware. As others have said, silver is a bit more versatile for casual wear. I love the black hardware, but there are some issues with the black paint chipping, so I went for silver when I bought my Small Loulou. Up to you though! You could totally go for gold and just wear it dressed down.
I think last year YSL changed the strap on the Toy. I believe it used to be adjustable, but new versions are not adjustable.
I have the black with black plated hardware. No chipping so far but I've been extra careful and haven't used it a lot, as I don't find it easy to go into. I'm debating reselling it and getting the Lou Camera bag instead, but love the look of the toy ...

Even though you may have made your decision, I love my Sunset in dark forest green. The flap looks like snake skin, and the front pocket is suede. I have always been a YSL fanatic, but this one maybe my favorite:
If you decide to go with the puffer, I don’t think you should worry about it being too trendy. I remember puffy being quite the rage in the 80s, and now it is back. I think puffy will always be in style. Who doesn’t love a soft puffy coat or bag??? Nobody!!
Not sure if you already bought the bag. But I was at the YSL store yday and think that the small loulou is really versatile between a run around day bag and dress it up evening wear. The toy looked nice but the small lou lou looked more elevated and also I thought the puffer looked a lil larger on my frame. So if you're looking for something sleeker I would suggest the small lou lou (if you haven't already bought one.) I've been eyeing the puffer all this time so It's amazing how some myths get busted when you enter the store

Hi I'm trying to decide between a YSL small Loulou black-gold chain and the YSL small Loulou Dark Beige- gold chain. I am torn, please help!!!!!!
Actually, I was in your boat, between small and toy. I went to YSL store and tried fitting in all my essentials in both. I must say the Small did fit a little more than Toy BUT not a whole lot more. Maybe you can fit an additional sunglasses and a bigger size wallet but thats it. The Small is a $1000 more than Toy. I would not want to pay a $1000 more just so I can fit a bit more when the look on the bag is the same. So that made my choice clear. I dont regret my Toy and I am glad I dont carry unnecessary things and bag is so lighter and comfortable. The Small has chain strap which I liked but I ordered a beautiful exact match chain strap from Etsy and so happy. Thats my opinion!
Ooops sorry, I thought you asked between Small and Toy. Just saw your question...I think black with gold is better. Its a stunning bag. I have only black bags thats why I went with dark beige. But if I did not have so many blacks my first choice would be Black/gold.
