Many many many years ago, I went in LV thinking I could buy a strap from another bag as a replacement piece and use it on another bag. The SA exclaimed in a very snobbish way that I cannot do that as I would destroy the intended look of the bag and they would never sell the replacement strap if I have never purchase the bag before.
After so many years, they are starting to embrace that users have our rights to change things up any ways we like and they should not stop our creativity. I haven’t dare to ask any SA about selling me spare parts to me of late but at least I see them selling assorted bandoulier straps online without pesky SA from stopping you.
