Plastic protector on hardware

You're probably seeing the silicone studs that are to protect the hardware feet that are sold by 3rd parties. My understanding is that these can be easily removed with a pair of pliers if you no longer wish to have them on. Not vouching for the ones I'm posting but merely to illustrate, as I do not use these protectors.

Hi! I was search for postings about feet protectors and found yours. Didn't see anything after your posting. It's been a year and a half. Wondering how you like these feet protectors and any concerns after using them for awhile? I have a h friend ask me if I wanted to purchase some sets from her for my k's and b's. I want to be sure there's no after problems in using them. Appreciate any info you want to share. Thank you so much!

Any feedback from others are appreciated also. Thanks!

I'm afraid I'm of no help as I mentioned that I do not use the silicon feet protectors in my post that you quoted. :shrugs: Perhaps someone else who does would be able to chime in. :)

Thanks Meta! I was reading with sleepy eyes. LOL

Wish I could hear from someone who may have tried it and share their experience. Good or bad. Thanks in advance for their thoughts.

Hi i need some help, the screws on my gold plated kelly appear slightly blacker than the plate ? Is this rusting ? Or is it normally darker? I bought this bag preloved 4 years old and the previous owner didn't peel off the stickers =)
Can anyone tell me when you should peel of the stickers on the hardware too?? Thanks!!20201127_215559.jpg20201127_215559.jpg

Perhaps reading this thread might be helpful to you. Also, tip on how to clean off the tarnish in this thread itself posted here. ;)

The underside of the screw will have leaked rust due to the damp caused by the plastic left on for such a long time

If the plastic have peel like yours, now would be the time to take off the plastic.u can try and buy the cleaning cloth for jewellery to try and polish that rust off.over time if it really bothers u that much,u can bring the bag to boutique and request them to changed the hardware.but bare in mind, the hardware won't match with others because the older hardware will looked darker a bit than the new ones.

I have ordered and used it for my Chanel boys and classic, I have to say their quality is bad and leave residues on the hardware. Wouldn’t recommend Handbag Haven Havre de Lux hardware stickers at all they are terrible!

The @handbaghaven on IG sells hardware protectors.

i just ordered some but they most likely wont be in for another month.

they are expensive at about $15 USD!

ill keep you all posted. They have 15% off right now!

Oh noo! I'm sorry to hear that. I bought a hardware protector sticker as well back in 2020 and it's still on my chanel mini flap bag. I live in a warm, dry climate so no moisture at least. I'm curious to know how you cleaned the residue off of your hardware?

Yes I did clean the residue before I put them on. Their quality is not very good. I would highly recommend Orangeshield. Theirs is better and a lot “clearer”
