thank you AME. you know a lot of this. I have gone to Tiffany's personally and they have located one for me outside the country. i really really hope this one has no pits as i dont have much of a choice other than to get a replacement. i really love the bean too, so hopefully everything goes well.

also spoke to a jeweller and apparently, he can laser off the pits. so at least i have a second choice.

The TIFFANY's bench jeweler or an outsider? I do know there can be work done with a laser, but make sure it won't violate anything by doing that. Especially if he screws up, then you have a bigger problem on your hands.

I unfortunately had a long, hellacious journey with another jeweler regarding pitting that led to cracks in rings. The benefit to yours being in a pendant and not in a ring is that yours is not going to grow as fast or cause anywhere near the problems as it would if it were in a ring or an earring.

Hopefully the one they bring in for you is great.

thank you. i went to a reputable jeweler so im sure he knew what he was talking about ,but i much rather have a new piece. really crossing my fingers this time. thank so much for your help, everyone. especially Ame. :flowers:

You're welcome. Let me know how it goes. If you REALLY love this design, and the replacement isn't totally acceptable, decide how truly important it is. It isn't the end of the universe on a pendant, but it is annoying. :blushing::ghi5:
