They both shared that the leaks in many cases start with people in middle management that are aware of new releases/special editions beforehand. The SAs are def the last to be communicated to so as to reduce the risk of onward communication to consumers. They both shared that there was a big “investigation” in HK a year or two ago when the customers found out about the holiday pendant before the SAs did (as has been the case again this year), and they found there were people in the middle/backend who had leaked the info and it just spread.
Anyhoooow, I suppose as everyone has been saying there has often been truth to the rumours but wouldn’t buy it unless you can get it from an official store. Even personal shoppers tag on a hefty percentage of the purchase price so I wouldn’t think it’s worth it if were true. My SA says there is no way for another store in a different country to order in special editions... So caveat emptor, buyer beware! Those offering to procure these for you on this forum are very possibly scammers
I am going to be facetious here and say maybe China is creating their own version of VCA (read fakes)It will be to the detriment of VCA not to put a stop to this. Superfakes are rife and this will only water down the value of their brand.
ETA - Please be very wary of any member trying to "HELP" by getting these pieces before it even hits the so-called markets. Don't for a moment think that the counterfeiters don't have their agents very active on this forum as well.

I should hope that information is disseminated at the same time to all regions/markets/boutiques but who knows, right??!!!I see
Also wonder if there is a discrepancy in the timing of the release of info to SAs in different regions/countries... my SA and the store manager were saying that they had received texts asking if it was the WG guilloche before they even got the confirmation email haha. Apparently someone heard about it from their N America counterpart, and a particular difficult customer gave them grief for “not being the know” — eesh!
