I was having similar thoughts too, pink MOP/PG combo seems to bring out more pink color from the pink MOP, but it seems a bit lack of contrast. On the other hand, pink MOP with white gold will give more contrast, but will the pink MOP look pink enough under such combo…(?)

I thought the exact same thing. I know this was a SO, holy grail, expensive, blah blah blah...
But... I did not think it really made a statement, and my eyes had to "look" for it. Way too much pink, so then the eye sees nothing but fuzzy pink. Of course, it's her style and she dresses very lovely girly girl, so I am sure she loves it.

However, I thought the same as you... WG and pink MOP would be gorgeous!

Based off of her photos I just realized that pink MOP looks a bit more deep in tone when it has the metal backing like on the sweet watch and earrings, but a bit more kind of “washed out” in the bracelet/necklace in RG. It still glows and looks gorgeous by itself but I do find it does a bit of a blending in once put on the skin, at least in my experience when I tried on the watch. I really wanted to love the sweet watch as I love pink MOP but the color combo felt lost on my skintone and I actually wanted more of a contrast where it would be more obvious that it’s pink MOP. I think you ladies are right, pink MOP would look fantastic in WG.

The one you tried on has such a lovely lilac shade!! The one I tried was more light and peachy, it felt lost on me. Beautiful watch though!

When I saw her SO, my first thought was that in most lighting, it looks incredibly similar to white MOP in RG pave (as I should know :)
It is very beautiful, but not very noticeably "pink" vs white MOP that has pink iridescence. My friend and I agreed that the earrings looked by far the most pink of the set, and I had wondered if it was just because they are easier to position in a way to reflect the most pink iridescence, while the multiple motifs of the other pieces will be harder to position in such a way so that they all appear at their most pink. However, while that may be a factor, you ladies are so smart in noting that the pink MOP watch looks more pink due to the RG backing. I now believe that the earrings may look more pink compared to the rest of her set because of the partial RG backing in the frame behind the earring motif. On the other hand, the downside of pink earrings, as those of us with pink-toned skin who have tried to wear non-pave RG earrings can attest to, is that they tend to blend right into the face. Indeed, in WG they may have popped more. Perhaps the closest example we can see photos of us the discontinued old pink opal in WG which came in earrings (if you do an image search, some photos will come up of pink opal in WG - along with some sad photos showing how discolored pink opal can become over time - but we can imagine from these images what pink MOP would look like if set in WG).

On another note, I absolutely love all of the sweet watches. They are so unique, quirky and pretty to me, but there is absolutely no way that I can tell the time on them other than within the range of a couple of hours! I know that they are meant to be jewelry more than watches, but something in me refuses to buy a watch that is not actually a functional watch for me at it's most basic level. I keep hoping that I will change my mind though, because I absolutely love them.
