I just bought the bag from Balenciaga, Avenue George V, Paris a couple of weeks ago. I initially wanted the Officier, but when I asked for a First bag, the SA just smiled and pulled out 17 different colored First bags. (I was quite impressed). There was no Officier, but the Pourpre stood out and immediately caught my attention, and I could not be happier with my choice.

I can't seem to capture color of Pourpre!

I don't think Pourpre is Mottled. Excellent saturation! :yahoo:

Moist and soft leather! MichK!! :graucho: I think F/W 09 has pretty good leather!

This is still the best representation of the color! Looks pretty much just like this IRL!

Oh and I read somewhere it is said to be a darker version of Sanguine... Just for reference:

Oh, sweetlust, thank you for all the pics - your Pourpre GSH City is amazing!

You're right about the colour - it is very saturated in your pictures and just beautiful! I think some get the impression it's mottled because it's not an even colour throughout, there are darker tones on some parts of the bag, but the colour IS saturated.

Oh, I MUST get something in Pourpre now!

Gosh ... sweetlust, that's gorgeous. Now I wish it HAD been me you saw at PP, 'cos then I might have had a chance to check it out IRL!!

Is it really so dark? It looks pinker in so many other pics.

Thanks MichK! :smooch: Its true some parts have darker "spots", definitely not as even as ruby. Can't wait to see your Pourpre!! :graucho:

:laugh: And I really thought it was you!! Luckly I didn't go up and say, "Um, Purse Forum?" :shame:

Its darker than the pictures of what I took, I can't seem to capture the true color! It appears Pinker in photos, but really, its a deep wine burgundy. Closest to the RH PT! :D

I think I need some mod pics to see how the colour looks against skin for a better idea. I remember Tokyo's pourpre looked quite pink.

(But sweetlust, your pics of the sanguine vs pourpre mirrors was very helpful!)
