first of all i am DYING over your ring set. both rings are absolutely beautiful! do you have any specs on it? (if you mind)

also re: rolex discounts, one dealer in toronto gives at least 17-20% discount across the board on their rolexes. and they are the main rolex dealer in town, their selection is very impressive.

I asked the Rolex store people if they had seen a decrease in sales, and they said since the stock market problems they have seen a big drop. I asked if they thought they'd be discounting more in that case, and they said definitely not, if anything there will be fewer discounts, but that we might be able to find some good deals in the used market as people try to sell their watches to free up cash. Something to keep in mind!

Oh, I gotcha, I thought you were saying you got a discount on this and someone else said yeah usually can get a discount on the less popular models so I was like :confused1: this is one of their popular models..... it all makes sense now LOL. Yeah I have the same model/size as you but pink dial and smooth bezel and no discount, got it two years ago though right when they updated the case and bracelet. Was seriously considering the fluted bezel but the smooth just looked better on me. Enjoy your pretty watch!

I've seen your watch before, since I spent hours perusing photos on here while trying to figure out which style I wanted! It's gorgeous. I really like the pink dial, and several salespeople have told me it's probably the most popular color. It didn't look good with my skin color, though. :sad:

Well, who needs a discount when Rolex does a hundred price increases a year... after a few years, it's kind of like we just bought at a discount in the first place! At least that's what I tell myself :smile1:

You're the second person I've heard this from about Rolex in Canada! The other person I talked to said I *have* to go to Vancouver because you can get great deals, and they have great inventory. Maybe a trip to Canada is in order?? :yes:

Thanks for the compliment on my ring! Dh did a great job. The engagement ring is 5.02 carats total weight; the center stone is a 4.02 carat pear, and the sidestones are .5 carat each pears. It's GIA certified, H color, VS1, ideal cut. The band is an eternity band, but I can't remember the details. Hope this helps! :smile1:

I am tired of wearing my husbands Rolexs...and mine are ladies size...I am DYING for a mid size. Turning 40 in 2 months and its on my wish list...I want nothing else...watch this space!!!!

It really is the perfect size, although I will say that virtually all the Rolex salespeople tried to convince me to go with the men's size, saying that's what everyone is buying these days. So, you're very in style wearing your husband's watches!

I expect to see photos of your mid-size once you get it! How exciting. What style/dial/etc. do you want?

I think you were smart to go with this size and not the mens. I think you will be able to wear this size with more. Also, wearing the larger size is kind of a trend, so wear DH's like I do when I want to wear something larger than mine. The jubilee is my favorite band, too. Mine is almost 20 years old and I rarely take it off...except when I water ski.
