ugh. i have read through so many threads about little imperfections on one's LV and thought, "come on, it is a stitch" . . . but here i am with a wrinkle that is KILLING me on my new bag. I guess these things are relative?

i received the favorite mm (which i have wanted all YEAR) for christmas. I didn't even do a reveal or share as i have had this sitting in the closet, stuffed with tissue to try and remove the wrinkle.

i am not sure if you can see it, but it is to the right of the plate and after almost 3 weeks it WONT GO AWAY... :sad:

if you have a favorite, did it come perfectly flat? my speedy b had those wrinkles from the fold, but they went away pretty quickly . . . am i being totally petty or should this be FLAT?

see, i still have the protector on the gold plate . . .haven't even used a bag i have coveted for a year.... i want this bag, but i don't want the wonky flap :sad:

I have a friend who had this concern. She was told it was most likely due to how it was stored at the store (with another laying on top of it). You can try to put it in the window where the sun comes in and it has a chance of softening the canvas and smoothing out (keep it stuffed), or exchange for one that you can see is 'flat'.

Can you try putting that side of the flap in between two books or something similar? Maybe weight would help flatten it? My Favorite MM did not have this. Mine does have a slight small "wrinkle" on the edge of one side of the flap, but it's hardly noticeable.

i did try this, but i think because the gold plate sticks out in the middle, it isn't an even "flat" - i even tried folded tissue paper to make the sides a little taller, then i covered with felt, opened the bag flat, and put a a small brick on the felt... that wrinkle wont budge! i am afraid any thing heaver may put a dent in the canvas that i am responsible for?

As others have mentioned I'd try putting it in the sun to soften the canvas and then maybe put some books on it or something. It might be worth asking an SA, but I doubt they'd exchange unless you have a relationship.
