This is the bag brand new.

Here she is after 9 uses. It has a beautiful sheen to it, lots of scratches. No feet. The corners have some scuffing. Nothing major. The scratches are mainly from my bag charm hah!

Thanks! The color is absolutely perfect and strangely enough I don't mind the scratches too much. But no charm for me on this or only REALLY fluffy and non-scratchy ones just to be safe(r). :lol:
Have you tried buffing them out?

If you don't like scratches or patina, this probably isn't the leather for you.

I have a PJ in black Novanappa and it has developed the most amazing patina and the scratches do soften over time but are always there. Maybe read through the Barenia threads on the H forum for more info.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. I do like a nice patina, but I'm just wondering how easy or hard Barenia is to maintain. Patina is one thing, but I don't want it to look dirty or crusty and yucky, haha!
💯 @bagnut1 . I don’t find it difficult to maintain, but I buy vintage barenia so as not to really worry. Barenia, Vache Natural, and box were used for saddles and shoes for a long time for a reason ;)

My barenia noir B30 has gone through rain and snow. Water will dry off. But, a barenia bag can be scratched. And, it will mark if it comes into contact with anything oily. Fauve barenia handles will darken; though @docride can remedy this. Some members have reported staining with sanitizer. And, don’t use near ballpoint or other pens. Whether this is maintenance free for you is a personal decision. . .

@fayden , gorgeous bag :D

I have but they're not as easy to buff out, but they will go away with time but I'll just have new ones anyway, so doesn't matter to me. I love the scratches to me honest... I like seeing how this bag will change over time.
